I have the Axim 5 from dell with the Pharos CF gps. WATCH OUT---the needle indicates the nearest street location to the area you are caching, not the location of the cache. Great unit for turn by turn guidence on the street----not worth any money if used for geocaching. ALSO support on the telephone is almost non-existent. Questions sent via e-mail may go un-answered. Don't even consider the PHAROS GPS for pdas. Bill in Nor Cal

Does anyone use the Pharos attachment for pdas for geocaching? I have tried and get funny readings. I get the impression that the unit will try to take you to the nearest street to the cache. For example, a cache in a public park a block or two from the street entrance to the park, the unit seems to want to indicate the entrance to the park, rather than the coordinates you entered.

I would like to add a box with text to the map, instructions in program state to click on the drawing toolbar and then click on TEXT---No sign of the text to click on. REGARDING PUSHPINS Instructions say to click on drawing toolbar and then on a p;ushpin----no sign of a pushpin----it might have been there before, but no sign of it now? GSAK states that you can send waypoints to MAPSOURCE. From Mapsource, you can send data to the Garmin 60C via USB. How do you send the waypoints to MAPSOURCE? Also, where can you purchase a serial cable that will mate with the strange pins found on the back of the Garmin 60C? Thanks, Bill in nor cal

I have a pocket PC. I have downloaded and installed on my pc a copy of Mobipocket reader. I have downloaded a *.prc file from my e-mail consisting of 20 cache sites. When I click on this file, a screen pops up and I select a target for the book as my PDA. When I go to my pda, the file is not apparent even with a search. How can I read this file on my pda? Hi: I just bought a pharos gps unit to work with my dell pda. I am used to deg min sec from the Geocaching site. Please tell me how to convert to the Pharos units system. they have xx xx.xxxxxx. I guess this would be deg min followed by six digits. for example the FRIENDLY CITY GEOCACHE IS: N 38DEG 20.224. HOW WOULD THIS BE ENTERED WITH A 2 DIGITS FOLLOWED BY 2 DIGITS FOLLOWED BY SIX DIGITS?? BILL IN NORTHERN CA

When entering DMS coordinates into MS Streets, the program allows dms or decimal----two questions----no matter how I enter the DMS making sure lat and long are in same format, I get an error message about being between -90 and 90 and between -180 and 180. I have put in the following: 38.21.302 and 122.41.849---why an error message for the above. Second question---how can I convert dms to decimal format? Thanks form Bill Northern Ca

I bought the 2004 at Cosco. Is there a way to make the GPS coordinates match up between MS Streets and my Sportrek Pro. Or between my mapsend topo and MS Streets. Put in the coordinates from mapsend or Sportrek Pro and you will be about 30 miles off track? Am I doing something wrong? Crabtrees
