+jeff35080
Let's see.... I may as well add my info... I'm 36 2 Children Age of children: 13 & 9 FWIW, I still feel like I'm 18 When I was younger I thought that 36 was old, I was wrong Happy geocaching! Quote Link to comment
+kimandjesse
Around my area there are very few younger folks caching. I (Jesse) am 20 and Kim is a mere 18, so I guess we are pretty young as far as cachers go. We did meet a couple that were 21 the other day though. I guess the young'uns would just rather be doing something else. :-) Jesse Quote Link to comment
+GeoForse
I'm not sure how old this is in dog years, but in February, I'm Medicare eligible. GeoForse Quote Link to comment
aphexthrice
I'm 18, and I have realized that most cachers are over 30 as well. I honestly find most of the caches out there very easy to find and not "extreme" as I would prefer. I believe for this reason many "outdoorsy but not crazy anymore" 30-40 somethings really enjoy this activity. Quote Link to comment

Cholo
There was a survey done a couple years back and the median age came out to 38 for geocachers. That's still only one year younger than Jack Benny. Quote Link to comment
+fly46
There was a survey done a couple years back and the median age came out to 38 for geocachers. Ancedotally it seems to be the same today, so no one aged. Yay! I was 28 when I started. I'll be 32 next month in case someone wants to get me an iPodPhoto Sorry Jeremy... Waaay out of my price range! lol. <-- is 21. Quote Link to comment
+Lt. Sniper
I started when I was 18 and I just turned 20. I am the youngest for my state, Queensland, Australia Quote Link to comment
+pcmike
I'm fairly new to geochaching, but I'm already hooked. I have read a lot of forum posts and other things on the GC.com site looking for info and tips for begginers. I noticed that it seems there are a lot of older cachers and families with kids, but I have seen very few cachers in the 20s age range. Being in this age group myself I was curious if there are many college age cachers. If I'm the only one it wouldn't bother me. I'm used to being an independant guy anyway. I'm 20 right now and attending college as well. I was turned on to caching by a 50 something, but when I've attended caching events I've seen kids our age! Quote Link to comment
+Byron & Anne
I aint never gonna grow up. I recently celebrated the 30+ anniversary of my 30th birthday. Byron Quote Link to comment
+Sputnik 57
I was, well, born in 1957 (incidentally, more people were born in the US in 1957 than in any other year before or since--the height of the baby boom!). Formerly married, kids 22 and 20, one granddog. Quote Link to comment
+calipidder
I'm 26, married, no kids. I guess hubby and I could be considered 'college students' - he's a PhD student (hmm...is there I reason I originally typed 'stupid' instead of 'student'?) and I have a stanford spouse id. It gets me into sporting events and movies at the student rate. Quote Link to comment

Blandeena
Oh wow, I didn't realize my age is a minority here. I'm 23, and have 2 other 23 year old geocaching buddies. Well maybe a bunch more now that I've introduced geocaching to the whole UT sailing club www.utsailing.com Quote Link to comment
+Pork King
I'm very curious as to the demographics of geocachers in the United States, so I thought I could get a cross-section in the forums. Could I get an age, sex (and no "yes, please!" answers to this one, children!), race, and (feel free to leave this next one off if you don't care to answer, I'd fully understand) religious affiliation from you folks. this is not for any kind of research, just my inquiring mind! iMod001
Well, I'm 28, and untill reading this forum I thought I was one of the youngest cachers around my area. (Wv) Well, in the 23-30 range anyway... No offense to my elders, but I've often wished I could run into other people in my age group. Quote Link to comment
