The little box of tricks now tells me turn-by-turn how to get to the cache! How do it know??? You can just type in an address and it will take you there. Its all pure magic to me.... Ours (60C) just came today too. It is our anniversary present to each other. Romantic, huh! It is if you punch in "Lookout Point" and hit "Go To"! A left here..a right there...butta bing! +princess toadstool
I've been trying to figure out GSAK to work with Cachemate. After hours and hours, I'm finally getting the hang of it. Have fun going "paperless." Yeah! I did it! I just loaded 475 waypoints from GSAK into my GPSr. I've got the same waypoints on my palm. I'm ready to go caching!! Now if I had a map like that one Trailgators posted for the Elsinore caches at least I'd know which to do first... Still playing around with GSAK and reading online HELP. There is a lot of stuff to absorb there. Any tips or tricks anyone wants to pass along? Quote Link to comment

When RM, TG and I were going for 100 caches in one day, we actually considered the possibility of hiring a limo driver and a logger so we could just drive around sipping champagne while the GPSr and our peeps did all the hard work for us! Parsa
So... GoBolt's a Dave too eh? Folks, we have far too many Daves around here! For all the Daves, I offer this poem by Dr. Seuss. Perhaps you should each take one of the alternate names as your own. TOO MANY DAVES Dr. Seuss Did I ever tell you that Mrs. McCave Had twenty-three sons and she named them all Dave? Well, she did. And that wasn't a smart thing to do. You see, when she wants one and calls out, "Yoo-Hoo! Come into the house, Dave!" she doesn't get ONE. All twenty-three Daves of hers come on the run! This makes things quite difficult at the McCaves' As you can imagine, with so many Daves. And often she wishes that, when they were born, She had named one of them Bodkin Van Horn And one of them Hoos-Foos. And one of them Snimm. And one of them Hot-Shot. And one Sunny Jim. And one of them Shadrack. And one of them Blinkey. And one of them Stuffy. And one of them Stinkey. Another one Putt-Putt. Another one Moon Face. Another one Marvin O'Gravel Balloon Face. And one of them Ziggy. And one Soggy Muff. One Buffalo Bill. And one Biffalo Buff. And one of them Sneepy. And one Weepy Weed. And one Paris Garters. And one Harris Tweed. And one of them Sir Michael Carmichael Zutt And one of them Oliver Boliver Butt And one of them Zanzibar Buck-Buck McFate... But she didn't do it. And now it's too late. Wanted to congratulate Tucson Thompsen on reaching 1,800 caches during the day. And Trailgators for getting to 600, with trendy socks yet! Hope I didn't give anybody any ideas about competing with me on the money side. As Harmon mentioned. I did score a $1,500.00 ring at the Splashes' Laguna Junction cache. Traded the ring in, got a new diamond for my engagement ring. Life is good. Now I am saving to buy a boat, just like Splashman's. I have a way to go. The Dillon Gang has already gotten permission to use a classroom and a projector so it looks like this thing will be a go. If for some reason that doesn't work out, we can look into the Library option. I will post some suggested dates once I get room availability info from The Dillon Gang. Once the date is firmed up, I will post the event page along with an agenda and other info on the event. What we will probably do is have several experts give presentations on the most common methods/applications and then have folks there to give one-on-one assistance on those and other methods/applications (e.g. Parsa can help Mac users and hopefully someone can help Pocket PC users who can't use the Palm application Cachemate).
