+GoBolts! Posted April 11, 2006 Posted April 11, 2006 Ventura Kids finally made some Geocoins. I'm not sure if this is the right spot for my message.... I just found out there are forums I joined a group of Obsessed geocachers and we made a set of coins. The Obsessed Geocoin Collection These four geocachers combined have found over 37000 caches. We are all from California! If you collect geocoins, we are selling them in a set of 4 coins. I think mine looks the best. Sorry I missed that last campout at Skillets place. I was concerned for the weather, and judging by all the pictures, I was right! We hope to see everyone at the next event. I don't want to buy one but can I put a sticker on them all? Quote
+SD Rowdies Posted April 11, 2006 Posted April 11, 2006 (edited) Does anyone have a clue why "travelita" disabled all of her caches? She did it around 1850...and all she wrote was "* Required". We did Adrenaline Rush today...got home went to log it and???? She's worried that her coords are not accurate. I haven't had any problems at all with her coords. Seems the coords for The Ghost may have an error, but who hasn't made an error with coords before? I will certainly admit to multiple such errors. Other than the Ghost, all her other caches have been found without much difficulty. I hope she brings them all back soon... I have done three of her caches and the coords have been great.and as far as coord errors....I am sad to say that I have done it twice and sent two cachers on a wild goose chase. Yea you sure did I second the motion that her measurements are just fine. Her cache coordinates ain't all that bad either. She did a fine job of "I'm Embarrased" and "I'm Envious" caches. Both of those caches are out of the ordinary as far as presentation goes. Including a beehive is a nice touch I say. Edited April 11, 2006 by SD Rowdies Quote

+jahoadi and john Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 In keeping with a tried and true San Diego tradition I shall now change my geocaching name. Like others before me, Duncan, Miragee, Habu!, Chuy!, I have decided that lostguy51 no longer suits me. When I first created my account I wanted to be known as Lostguy but it was already taken by someone with no finds or hides & it still has no finds or hides. I added 51 to lostguy as this was the year I was born. Well now I have decided to drop the 51 as I don't want anyone to know the year I was born. From this day forth I shall be known as "Lostguy". I have the include the parenthesis so it will be accepted by the website. I am still very Lost and still very much a guy but I am no longer old. Thank you for accepting my new identity. I still haven't figured out if this will post as a new item or be added to some existing post. If it comes out stupid then will someone please enlighten me. I like "lostguy" ok, since I never said the 51 anyways. If there was a vote I would've voted for "Downhill Dick" though..I've seen you on a MTB going down and even on a hiking trail,,,ain't no stopping you!!! r/ jodi Quote

A guy tried that at one of our YMCA campouts and ended up in an ambulance going into convulsions on the way to the hospital. Some of those snakes have pretty good articulation with their heads. Was anybody close to catching Duncan! and Gobolts!? I got on the scoreboard...I found one! I didn't even try to stay close. Some us have to work and sleep. And...when we aren't working/sleeping, we have to keep going back to MTRP to check for casualties. (A week ago, I logged 16 caches on the northside of MTRP. I'm not sure if that will be enough. My last foray at MTRP left me with only 16 caches to do. Now I have over 50. The brightside to this is that I only have 40 left to get my 1000. You know where I will be heading the next time I get the chance to cache. Quote

My point was that, and you can correct me if I'm wrong, the annoucement came out only on the forums, but not everyone, including premium members, read or are registered with the forums. And those that are registered, don't read them everyday. I think a puzzle or multi of sorts would have been the fair thing to do to reach out to as many cachers as fairly as possible. Now, if the contest was to reward those that read the forums, then it brilliantly reached its goal. Quote

Even EVILer than original hiding place for S.C.U.M. version 2.0 ( ), or is it similar hiding technique, but a less private splotch of land? That one was evil; 4 of us were there for about 15 minutes before we decided to call you. Quote
+Team Fatman Posted April 18, 2006 Posted April 18, 2006 I think it's time for an event!!! We could call it MTRP Armistice, or Cache Wars Seize Fire, or The Empire Strikes back (oops, not that one). We would need a place with circular tables so everyone is equal...like the Knights of the Round Table (those English kunigits). Is there a Round Table Pizza in Santee or vicinity? Are we sick of pizza yet??? I was thinking of a no-frills night-hike event at MTRP. Anyone interested? Also bring them by to do my new EVIL hide S.C.U.M. It has a new hiding spot. Even EVILer than original hiding place for S.C.U.M. version 2.0 ( ), or is it similar hiding technique, but a less private splotch of land? That one was evil; 4 of us were there for about 15 minutes before we decided to call you. It is more evil come and find out . Quote
