Ventura Kids finally made some Geocoins. :P

I'm not sure if this is the right spot for my message.... I just found out there are forums :o

I joined a group of Obsessed geocachers and we made a set of coins.

The Obsessed Geocoin Collection

These four geocachers combined have found over 37000 caches.

We are all from California!

If you collect geocoins, we are selling them in a set of 4 coins.

I think mine looks the best.

Sorry I missed that last campout at Skillets place. I was concerned for the weather, and judging by all the pictures, I was right! :o

We hope to see everyone at the next event. :P

I don't want to buy one but can I put a sticker on them all?

Does anyone have a clue why "travelita" disabled all of her caches?

She did it around 1850...and all she wrote was "* Required".

We did Adrenaline Rush today...got home went to log it and????

She's worried that her coords are not accurate. I haven't had any problems at all with her coords. Seems the coords for The Ghost may have an error, but who hasn't made an error with coords before? I will certainly admit to multiple such errors. Other than the Ghost, all her other caches have been found without much difficulty. I hope she brings them all back soon...

I have done three of her caches and the coords have been great.

and as far as coord errors....I am sad to say that I have done it twice and sent two cachers on a wild goose chase.

:blink::oYea you sure did :o:P

I second the motion that her measurements are just fine. Her cache coordinates ain't all that bad either.

She did a fine job of "I'm Embarrased" and "I'm Envious" caches. Both of those caches are out of the ordinary as far as presentation goes. Including a beehive is a nice touch I say.

In keeping with a tried and true San Diego tradition I shall now change my geocaching name. Like others before me, Duncan, Miragee, Habu!, Chuy!, I have decided that lostguy51 no longer suits me. When I first created my account I wanted to be known as Lostguy but it was already taken by someone with no finds or hides & it still has no finds or hides. I added 51 to lostguy as this was the year I was born. Well now I have decided to drop the 51 as I don't want anyone to know the year I was born. From this day forth I shall be known as "Lostguy". I have the include the parenthesis so it will be accepted by the website. I am still very Lost and still very much a guy but I am no longer old. Thank you for accepting my new identity. I still haven't figured out if this will post as a new item or be added to some existing post. If it comes out stupid then will someone please enlighten me.

;) I like "lostguy" ok, since I never said the 51 anyways. If there was a vote I would've voted for "Downhill Dick" though..I've seen you on a MTB going down and even on a hiking trail,,,ain't no stopping you!!! r/ jodi ;)

These guys are nuts!

See Puzzle Blocker cache.

f88e8177-f02d-47ed-be2d-254b3b11af53.jpg

Not a good idea. A guy tried that at one of our YMCA campouts and ended up in an ambulance going into convulsions on the way to the hospital. Some of those snakes have pretty good articulation with their heads. RM

Edit: Unless you are this guy:

You notice he never grabs the neck. He just avoids the head.

I hope no one else trys that on the trail. Don't feel encouraged to pick up a rattle snake. It would not be recommended.. and yes, that IS nuts! If he was bitten, it would be quite a walk back on a trail. I am glad he and the kids are safe..

Hail!

Just a quick question that might take up the rest of this page for the thread, but then again, it might not. What's going on with all the new caches in MTRP? I'm don't want enter the war zone out of fear of having to venture in again when many more caches are published so far away.

Maybe when things settle down.... I do like it, though; gives me an adventure (of finds) to look forward to.

A young fella like you should be able to beat ol' Cegrube to the FTFs. On the other hand my guess is that the battle will rage on for a while.

The thing Cegrube has that I don't is a method to travel. I'm still walking or riding a bike around the area. It's a lot of work to keep up with the caches. 2 mile radius is my limit for trying to get the FTFs.

The thing is that Cegrube could pick you up and take you along for shared FTF scores. At his age it would be good to have a young guy along to look after him, you know, for getting his walker out of the car and reminding him to take his pills on time. Stuff like that.

I am sorry to say that all of Adelphia's e-mail accounts are down...at this time I can not receive or send e-mail. Sumrall told me that I had a bunch of e-mails from cachers (I was out caching), ...and that she answered some of them...I will respond to the rest when Adelphia is back up. Sorry!

Wish you would have made it a puzzle or something. I found out about the contest after the winners already had half the finds, so, I didn't even bother participating at that point. An active premium-member cacher who doesn't participate in the forums didn't even know about the contest till yesterday - when I mentioned it to him.

No, I'm not protesting the victory, only the manner in which it was advertised.

Hey Chuy!:

What do you suggest that Marko should have done different? What more advertising should he have done? Where? If this was an everyday cacher such as Flagman and not an GC administrator would you have the same protest? I'm curious if a GC Administrator doing something on his/her own should be held to some high standard of notification for when they want to do something fun for the GC community.

I think Flagman should be treated the same way as Marko! :D

Out of curiosity, how many people participated in this mystery challenge? The idea sounded pretty cool! Was anybody close to catching Duncan! and Gobolts!?

I got on the scoreboard...I found one! :D:D:D

I didn't even try to stay close. Some us have to work and sleep. And...when we aren't working/sleeping, we have to keep going back to MTRP to check for casualties. :D:D:D

(A week ago, I logged 16 caches on the northside of MTRP. I go away for a weekend and now there's 21 new ones in the top 25 of my nearest unfound cache list...how long can this insanity continue!!?? :D )

Cache_kid wants to place a cache in MTRP called "I surrender". I'm not sure if that will be enough. :D

My last foray at MTRP left me with only 16 caches to do. Now I have over 50. The brightside to this is that I only have 40 left to get my 1000. You know where I will be heading the next time I get the chance to cache. :D

My point was that, and you can correct me if I'm wrong, the annoucement came out only on the forums, but not everyone, including premium members, read or are registered with the forums. And those that are registered, don't read them everyday. I think a puzzle or multi of sorts would have been the fair thing to do to reach out to as many cachers as fairly as possible. Now, if the contest was to reward those that read the forums, then it brilliantly reached its goal.

Don't get me wrong...I hate it when the Pads and Chargers lose...however comma

I have lived all over the country and nowhere do fans quit their teams faster than in San Diego. I wish San Diego fans were half the fans of say the Cubs.

GoBolts! (long time Charger and Padre season ticket holder)

PS Do you remember the 2003 Chargers? The 4 & 12 Chargers...I atendeded all 16 games that season (all home and away games). I am the 12th man!

Yup, here I go again.

I think it's time for an event!!!

We could call it MTRP Armistice, or Cache Wars Seize Fire, or The Empire Strikes back (oops, not that one).

We would need a place with circular tables so everyone is equal...like the Knights of the Round Table (those English kunigits). Is there a Round Table Pizza in Santee or vicinity? Are we sick of pizza yet???

There's a round table pizza near the Life Is Easier multi cache in Santee

edit: I don't think it has round tables, though...

Dave don't get me wrong, I didn't say I would quit rooting for the Pads! I used to live in Illinois and the fans are loyal but they also loved joking about the crappy Cubs and Bears too! :) Joking helps you keep a smile on your face when you know down deep that another season will go by without your team bringing home the pennant. But.............it is a log season and..........miracles do happen! So go Pads! :D

Hmmm...a night hike offers plenty of opportunity for surreptitiously dropping a few more mines, er, I mean caches... :D

NATO moving in its usual slowness will be arriving perhaps before this weekend due to the continued use of weapons of mass destruction within the MTRP Zone. Why NATO is coming to our little town is quite puzzling. We won't have a clue until they arrive. :D
