I promised a friend a Key to the Cache 2008 Geocoin. But unfortunately I only have the Antique Gold finish she doesn't like.

Hi all, very new here, so my apologies if committing some sort of faux pas.

 

I am in search of two of the new 9-9-9 coins that are being released today. I'm not picky about which region/color, I just need two of them. I don't have anything to trade, so it would need to be a straight purchase.

 

I am seeking these coins as a gift for my wife to commemorate our 9th anniversary, which we are celebrating on 09-09-09.

for someone special i`m seeking a STAR coin .....

i know there are more geocoin with a STAR or in STAR shape so it don`t matter what STAR coin so long it`s a STAR coin........

As I got asked to post a picture, and due to an eye operation I'm more looking like a prize boxer than anything else, I've managed to take this picture without showing the gruesome truth... :anibad:

Nope, all I have is an activated Mt. McKinley in bronze... :laughing: But it IS available for trade or sale. :laughing:

 

yeah, i have both in bronze too. i used to have a silver everest and i sold it a couple of years ago. i regret it now. they rarely show up for auction anymore. oh well. i sure wish someone would complete the seven summit series. (hint hint :laughing: )

Congrats on the sought after coin. Aren't coiners (and geocachers) the best ever??? I believe they are. It seems that more than finding delight in adding that "one coin" to their own collections, they garner happiness from helping others to add that one coin to THEIR collections! I wish all of the world operated on a coiner's philosophy. It would be a better place. (yeah, I know.. pretty mushy this AM)

its funny how we consider geocoins minted just 3 to 5 years ago, "older" coins...lol...but for those of us that have been collecting and designing geocoins since they 1st appeared on the scene, and i think i speak for many here, you somehow grow attached to the "old" designs and styles, especially after you hold them, even if they may not be the prettiest, or the shiniest, or the biggest, and were only made in a very few metal finishes. its amazing how many of these geocoins have become "collectors items" after such a short length of time! :D
