+StephenTravels
Congrats on your 600th find! Any nice warm, sunny summer day is a good caching day for me! I've had many great caching adventures in our grand state of Washington. Most recently, I went on a backpacking trip up to Lake Ann near Mount Baker. There was only one cache to find in the area, but the location was truly the treasure itself. It makes me grateful to live in such a beautiful and awesome place as the great PNW! +j0hnnycache
WOW. Good stuff! The photos are amazing. We live in a great area. I live down south, so I don't get out to the Cascades as much as I would like, but the Olympics are pretty spiffy. Quote Link to comment

IronMaiden
Sometimes just hiking to look for a place to put a cache is a good day for me these days. This is one of my most recent and best hike I was on in along time. Ironman was so proud that I was able to make it here so we could enjoy it together. Quote Link to comment

I was thinking the almost the same thing. Based on Super10commander's gallery it looks like Blue Hole. Road trip? Quote Link to comment
+Super10commander
Sorry about that! it is bluehole multi cache GCGDM5 its like 2.5 miles one way if you follow the multi (read it, and follow.......don't go down the river bed! ask me how I know....) oh and its down hill (didn't feel like it) or its 2 miles one way uphill from the smith landing just off HWY 126 south of the cache. this one had us laughing as you are in BIG tree's and at one point your only like 80ft from the highway! what you can't see for the tree's is its up a big-ol cliff. There is no easy way in to this one but the trip is well worht it. on a side note this is a good time of year to go the mosquito's haven't come on strong yet and you can get great days like the one in the picture if you plan it right. +TheBeanTeam
This is a great spot. Definitely one of my favorites. Tamolitch Pool is its name and it is a geological wonder. The falls here are only falls during exceptionally heavy water runoff in the spring. A lava flow covered the river here and the water bubbles up out of the ground at this point. The best access is at Carmen reservoir in my opinion. It is just such an awe inspiring thing to come up on the pool. A good day of caching in the NW is......WOW! look at that. Quote Link to comment
+StephenTravels
Resurrecting this one again. There's gotta be a ton of cool pics out there after a long beautiful summer! Here's a few from a backpacking trip up near Buckhorn Mountain and Marmot Pass last weekend. 24.5 mile trip, the weather was perfect, hiked up to nearly 7,000 feet, amazing views, great time spent with friends, and even found a few caches too Edited October 1, 2009 by tsunami_KNUW Quote Link to comment
+TotemLake
This was only a mile long hike with 1,000' elevation gain to a mere 4500 feet to Lichtenwasser Lake Near Valhalla Lake with a loyal companion and a good friend. Quote Link to comment
+ZeroHecksGiven
Love all the pictures and all the links to caches as well so I can get my butt out there next summer or maybe even this year if I'm quick enough. Heck yeah! So yeah, post the GC codes for us Quote Link to comment
+TotemLake
For the hike LandRover and I accomplished, there were no geocaches. Although he briefly entertained the idea of placing one up there, the thought of maintenance on this particular location was the deal breaker though. However, that particular area is linked via the September's HOTM chatter for Lake Valhalla. Edited October 1, 2009 by TotemLake Quote Link to comment

+StephenTravels
One thing I really like about caching in the Northwest is you can pretty much get outside comfortably year around without having to worry about extreme weather (snow storms, heat, humidity...). This weekend a few friends and I hiked the Boulder River Trail east of Arlington. It was sunny and beautiful with temps near 60...it was hard to believe it's only February! It was a pretty easy hike--a nice and easy warm up for the bigger spring and summer adventures Edited February 23, 2010 by tsunami_KNUW Quote Link to comment
