  1. flying in for a couple days but only have one day to cache. are there some do not miss caches? Thanks
  2. Dang man I think we were both Big PIMP'IN I mean I could throw up some pics of the rest of the class....... but then I might get sued or something
  3. I cache with this guy I've know forever, seriously like forever (25+ years)! he has gone by many names but he's still the same guy I grew up with all thru school. The same guy that on the day before thanksgiving 94 stood next to me as we signed our lives over to uncle sam. We've graduated, went out into the world, came home, got married, had kids, we have had great times and sad times. There is more history between us (and our other caching buddy 4xFinds) than I can remember. And its still early (fingers crossed). back to cache krawlers questions here is some "back in the day" shots (you ask for it dude) funny at time it seems like this was just yesterday and at other a lifetime ago and this is us all grown up (seriously dude we rock!) Cache krawler and I have done some work for uncle sam I was happy close to the ground, he has found a higher calling we had single guy adventures (pre-geocaching) then he started caching and I loved map reading and land nav so it fit like a glove it didn't take much and I was hooked.we have gone to a some train wrecks GCJYHZ/Ring of Fire and GC12TZ6/Automated Railway we have had a blast caching we scaled small (really samll) mountains I can barely wait to see what grand adventures he is planning - dude the wife said NO to any MT. ______ whatever so you'll have to recriute folks in better shape than me for that mountain climbing stuff. Mostly I can't wait until I can sit across the firepit and share stories, while enjoying a cold one.or four but not many more! I learned limit- tell you mom I'm sorry again enjoy the pics bro we will see you soon
  4. Sorry about that! it is bluehole multi cache GCGDM5 its like 2.5 miles one way if you follow the multi (read it, and follow.......don't go down the river bed! ask me how I know....) oh and its down hill (didn't feel like it) or its 2 miles one way uphill from the smith landing just off HWY 126 south of the cache. this one had us laughing as you are in BIG tree's and at one point your only like 80ft from the highway! what you can't see for the tree's is its up a big-ol cliff. There is no easy way in to this one but the trip is well worht it. on a side note this is a good time of year to go the mosquito's haven't come on strong yet and you can get great days like the one in the picture if you plan it right.
  5. ... getting out and seeing new places I've driven by my whole life only to have GC.com stop me so I can look around! this one was a great day -the next day not so much, I got cozy with a bottle of motrin
  6. Just so I'm clear its ok to honor and not ok to support? sound like semantics to me
  7. I am really enjoying the challenge caches that I have found (ABC/DeLorme) but as I detest puzzle caches (I'm stupid, and cant figure them out). I would really like a challenge icon. I have not found a challenge yet that dose not have a final cahe. If they are out there then I would think that they shouldn't make it past there reviewer. After all if there is no log to sign than its either a Earthcahe or a Waymark....right?(except grandfathered virtuals) So I say YES........please make a diffrent icon for challenges
  8. thanks guys I sent a email to the coin owner and if all else fails we do plan on being back in the area in a month or two its only a hour or so away.
  9. Ok so I "miss" logged a coin last night. I deleated the post form the cache page and from the coin page but the coin icon still shows in the cache page inventory. I don't keep the "codes" from the coins/ bugs I get so I'm not sure how to fix this. it is listed as last seen in GCH929 (this was the miss-log) and it is really in GCCCE7 thanks for any help!
  10. dude this looks like a great idea I think I'm going to tell everyone I know to come join in!
  11. I'm putting together a WWFM event for here in the Eugene/Springfield for those who are like me and don't really have the extra cash in there budget to drive to one of the 3 other WWFM events here in oregon. Its been posted but not yet published, So keep your eyes open for GC1BEC4 WWFM III- GOT NO GAS. let me know what everyone thinks!
  12. what si this geostash? can someone clue me in????............hahahaha
  13. I woke up thinking about this I still think cool place is #1 on my list in the area but its tough for me not to include ones from all over I mean there is the Un-Original Stash that takes you to where this whole game/lifestyle started! and then there are some good ones to grab as you travel down HWY 101 and I can't see coming to oregon without hitting the coast? so yeah thats only like 6-700 miles to cover like 1/4 to 1/3 of the state! sorry its the states fault for having so much to see...........oh man and that hike @ Multnomah Falls Cache........ok I quit- I'm sure you will enjoy the caching wherever you go.
  14. MAJOR LEAGUE INFIDEL has got this one nailed down. I would gas up the rental car and head east on HWY 58. (150+miles RT) A nice string of caches- Got It Covered Unity Bridge ~ Fall Creek Pengra Covered Bridge Office Bridge Ride and Heide # 1 Ride and Heide # 2- watch your footing on this one its a awsome view but painfull fall(I'll give you two guess on how I know, but you'll only need one!) Cool Place same warning as above but more fatal end !YIKES! Ride and Heide # 3 Constitution Grove Der Aufderheide Ride and Heide # 4 Rebel Creek Ride and Heide # 5 Ride and Heide # 6 Covered Bridge lesson # 2 ok so these all are not super memorable caches but it does make a nice trip with only a small bit of back tracking(first couple make a small loop) -but you get 3 coverd bridges- and one of my favorite forest drives (RD19) there are a ton more but as RD19 is like 60miles from HWY 58 to HWY 126 it makes for a LONG day if you try to grab a whole bunch. (total of 5 coverd bridge caches, one wicked cool one, and a great back country drive) even without the caches this is road trip I tell people to take just for the view of the river its awsome! if you do make the run I would say that Ike's lakeside pizza on 126 near leaburg is tasty for dinner(jo-jo's / broasted chicken / and pizza of course) but its not "heathy" so if your a marathon runner it might not be up your alley, but for a pudgy truck driver (like me) its good eats!
  15. I was scanning the web for caching supplies and I found a sign designed to hang from your vehicals rearview mirror that had a spot on it you could leave the GC code for the cache you were going after. you know incase of bad things happening, people would know where to start there search. anybody know where to find these?
