Hey!
First of all...my apologies if this is the wrong place to post this.
This past weekend my letterboxing buddies and I hosted an event to honor the 10th anniversary of the letterboxing article in the Smithsonian magazine.
It was held at Camp Adams, just East of Mollala Oregon. We planted over a hundred plus letterboxes, each with hours of work going into each hand carved rubber stamp.
One of the boxes, called "Tranquility Tree" was mistaken for a geocache sometime in August (as near as I can tell). The stamp was taken and a fish hook key chain was left in its place. I understand the confusion, I just really would like to get the stamp back and would be willing to pay postage and material cost to get it back. It truly was a crown jewel of the boxes there and a bit of a dissapointment that it was taken.
While we ALWAYS mark letterboxes as such, and state that they are NOT geocaches, not sure if it was done to this one, as every box was for an event.
BTW...the event was one for the record books...if you are ever interested in crossing over and going letterboxing, let me know!
Thanks for any help anyone can provide. I am in the process of hunting down the log book that was in there. It is in possesion of another committee member and they are getting some much deserved rest!
Thanks everyone! Have fun!
