Jake - Team A.I. Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Michigan isn't the only state with seasonal coins, but it is the first. Texas also has a few. The coin clubs could also be considered a series. The various Christmas coins could be considered since there were a few with variations, and will undoubtedly have follow up coins next year. There was a short lived holiday series... but it didn't get much past groundhogs day. Are you considering sets like the jeeps and lips and other coins with coloring variations as series? Quote

+UOTrackers Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 I am trying to make a list of all the geocoin series. Of my designs there are: Geocoin Racers - VW was the first set, the next set is Jeeps (Geocoinstore) World Mysteries Series (not necessarily the name of the series) HogWildStuff What's in your mailbox? V.1 is out, V.2 is in progress, this series will be continued indeffinately. Birds of a Feather - in progress GeoCrayons - in progress (not my designs) GeoJellies - in progress Quote

Jake - Team A.I. Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Hogwilds: National Park Series (?) I'm pretty sure that is in the original post... almost at the bottom. (Minus the Hogwild prefix) Quote
+GeoLobo Posted March 20, 2007 Author Posted March 20, 2007 Thanks everyone for adding on to the list Alot of coins seem to be part of a series, but really are not. Coins that look the same, but have a color change or metal finish difference, really are not considered a part of a series.......are they? Also, a set of coins like the Geo Racers are not really considered a series....are they? here is an updated list 7 Summit ACGA Provincial Airpower Airpower (Vintage) Appalachian Trail Benchmark Civil War Coin & Pin Club Definitive Florida Shipwreck Florida Landmark Geocaching The Top 40s Geocoin Club Lighthouse Military National Park Satellite Signal Washington Counties Wildlife Muggles Zodiac if you know of more, please so add on! +paulandstacey Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 I guess whether or not you call something a series, a set or whatever is really up to you. I would consider different metals, colours, etc sets, not series. To me a series is coins that are different, but tied together by a theme. Quote
Jake - Team A.I. Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 (edited) The first 3, I think were released at the same time, but the 5-Star Cache coins could be a series since there is a possibility of more coins with different ways to retrieve caches. Edited March 20, 2007 by Jake - Team A.I. Quote
+ChadsClan Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 What about the Geocaching Skills by Sepp & Berta? Now it's up to 5 coins. Quote
