+MartyBartfast Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 Same here with Firefox on Linux. 1 Quote
+CCFsmile Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 Same here, tried Chrome AND Firefox. Nothing. NOT GOOD! 1 Quote
+acotesag Posted September 22, 2023 Posted September 22, 2023 The same for me (with Firefox or Edge). Everything was fine last week but now it doesn't work. 1 Quote
+Harley&Friends Posted September 22, 2023 Posted September 22, 2023 We experience the same problem in Chrome. There is an error in the console after click on one of the options, see attached image. Maybe this helps to identity the problem. 1 Quote
+Tegiro Posted September 22, 2023 Posted September 22, 2023 Same problem here, no matter what browser I use! 1 Quote
+Luke Short Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 Same problem here. Germany, WIN 10, Firefox 117.0.1 (64-Bit). Quote
+mc3cats Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 I have been having this problem as well. Do we know if the HQ is working on this problem? I have not seen any comments on whether they are aware of the problem and are working on it. 1 Quote
+dubidubno Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 I have the same problem. Any response from Groundspeak yet? I'm a paying customer if it matters. Quote
+Cheevo & Boo Boo Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 Same problem for several days now. Quote
+WingsAndTales Posted September 24, 2023 Posted September 24, 2023 Same problem using Firefox on Windows 10 Quote
+DE_Cryptoman Posted September 24, 2023 Posted September 24, 2023 Everybody is reporting the problem. Is anyone listening? 2 Quote
+CCFsmile Posted September 24, 2023 Posted September 24, 2023 HELLO Groundspeak? This is getting SUPER frustrating. I really have to be able to use the satellite view in order to determine parking for hikes where the trail isn't on *your* map! When will someone official respond?!?!?! 2 Quote
Keystone Posted September 24, 2023 Posted September 24, 2023 I can confirm this bug on the Search map across several browsers and for both basic and premium accounts. I was able to switch map choices on the Browse map in all cases. I would not expect a response from HQ on a weekend, so thank you everyone for your continuing patience. 1 1 Quote
+NeverSeenGene Posted September 24, 2023 Posted September 24, 2023 Yes, been broke for me on both chromebook and in windows for awhile now. It is an even bigger problem than the crazy results from trying to list un found caches closest to any selected cache. I think that I'm not getting what I am paying for as a premium member let alone for support that I and others provide to this program that helps Groundspeak sell equipment and geocaching materials and promotional items, etc. 1 Quote
+stevenw54 Posted September 24, 2023 Posted September 24, 2023 Keystone's suggestion to select "Browse geocaches" made it possible for me to get the satellite view of the area around a cache. . 1 Quote
+V2Birds Posted September 24, 2023 Posted September 24, 2023 Satellite Map not working today? 24 Sept 2023. Quote
+Stamp My Art Posted September 24, 2023 Posted September 24, 2023 Same issue. I wish the mod would have moved my question over since I didn't know this thread existed and tried to find something similar posted, but yeah, same issue on multiple browsers and even after a cleared cache. It's been longer than just Thursday for me. At least a week and a half maybe 2 weeks. Hopefully it gets resolved. 1 Quote
geoawareUSA9 Posted September 24, 2023 Posted September 24, 2023 Just now, V2Birds said: Satellite Map not working today? 24 Sept 2023. It's not, no. I merged your post in with the existing thread. Until it's back, you can use the Esri WorldImagery layer in the browse map. Quote
+Viajero Perdido Posted September 24, 2023 Posted September 24, 2023 If you don't see Esri options (it is an excellent satellite view), you'll need to switch from Google to Leaflet maps. (Don't ask, Leaflet is a misnomer.) The button to switch is in the lower-left corner, or just below the corner. (On my tablet running Brave, I only see a thin green stripe, but know that's the button.) Select Leaflet, enjoy a variety of excellent maps. Our little secret. Quote

Back to Browse map, and all the layers (including satellite view) were there. I'm still not used to the Search map, and almost always go to the Browse map even when I am searching for caches!! 2 1 Quote
+kribnkrew Posted September 25, 2023 Posted September 25, 2023 Same problem for several days now, Edge/windows. App seems to be behaving on IPad and iPhones kribnkrew Quote
+dukemartin Posted September 25, 2023 Posted September 25, 2023 From a computer on geocaching.com. Select a list of caches. Select the map function. Select map style, its stuck on geocaching. Can not select any of the other 4 options. This has worked for years, now it does not. Over on the geo caching app it seems to work. 1 Quote
Keystone Posted September 25, 2023 Posted September 25, 2023 The above post was originally a separate thread. I merged the post into this existing discussion. Quote
