  1. Same problem here, no matter what browser I use!
  2. Thanks for the suggestion, but that cache is in the state of Michigan, and not in Ottawa, Ontario, Thanks again. I will try your suggestion search pattern. Tegiro
  3. I had a group of geocaches in the Ottawa area of Ontario I wanted to do and just wrote one of the geocache codes down. I wrote: GC9X0DS Now, when I type this geocache it is not available. Obviously I copied it down wrong and I now cannot seem to locate it. Is there a way to search for a geocache using some of the letters and numbers I wrote down? Is there a way to look for all geocaches in my area that start with GC9.... or GC9X...? Tegiro
  4. I would like to move it about 200 to 300 meters away, as recently large "No Trespassing " signs have been erected for safety reasons. Also a huge Hydro project is being run through the area affecting the geocache site.
  5. Thanks coachstahly and TeamRabbitRun, I will try and see what the Review thinks of my new coordinates.
  6. I want to relocate a geocache of mine. However I am not sure if I select certain coordinates they may not be allowed due to proximity of "Mystery" caches or others nearby. I did look at the GSAK map indicating where the nearby caches are and see about 3 or 4 "Mystery" caches close to the one I want to relocate. How do I go about finding out how far or how near other coordinates are, so that I may place mine within the proper distance.
  7. I would like to be able to display the geocaches I've found on a map, in any size and show this to others. How would I go about doing this? A specific area, i.e. country, state, province. Or, the whole world! Thanks, Tegiro
  8. You're asking this in the "Android > Geocaching Classic Android App" forum. Is this an App question? Support for the "Classic App" is being dropped, so some functionality may go away over time. But I'm still getting cache listings just fine on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S. If you're instead asking which web browser to try, check out Firefox. The default "Internet" (factory-installed browser), and Google Chrome, both pop up only a box with the cache name. In Firefiox, I can get to the cache descriptions just like it works on a desktop web browser. But it sometimes takes a couple of attempts. It seems to work best with one quick tap of the cache icon. Hello kunarion, I have a Samsung Tab S2 and I do use Chrome as a browser. But I still cannot access the geocaches by tapping the icons on the "View Larger Map" I've no problems on my desktop computer...it is just my Samsung Tab S2 where I have difficulties. When using the Chrome browser on my tablet I go to geocaching.com and from there try to view various caches on the "View Larger Map" screen. This does not work on my tablet.
  9. I have a Samsung tablet and when I go to Geocaching.com (and sign in of course)and select a geocache there is a map feature on the main page that says "View Larger Map". When I open this map feature there are many icons showing other caches in the area. However when I click on these other icons the selected cache page will not open. No matter how hard I try there seems to be no way to get to those cache via these icons. Why is this? Tegiro
  10. Try: GC1NGJN CYOW (Ottawa International) TB Motel http://coord.info/GC1NGJN
  11. When I click on Geocaching.com Google Maps my Finds are not shown. Can anyone explain why this is happening?
  12. Thanks for the replies folks, much appreciated. Tegiro
  13. I did geocaching and found caches in Holland, France and Switzerland and have not received any souvenirs for those countries. Can someone tell me if there are souvenirs for these 3 countries? If so, why have I not received them? Thanks you, Tegiro
  14. In my Garmin 60CSx I have an icon for Waypoints and also for Geocaches. When I send geocaches to my unit they appear under both those icons. Can someone please tell what the real difference is for these 2 icons? Thanks.
  15. Thanks Z, I Think I've got it working now. You were very helpful. Cheers,
  16. Hi Z, Thanks for the help, I get part of it. My unit does show USB Mass Storage at the bottom of the screen. But that is all. Nothing in the Try and also When I go to Control Panel no sign of my SD disk in the unit. Tegiro
  17. Hi Z, Thanks for the help, I get part of it. My unit does show USB Mass Storage at the bottom of the screen. But that is all. Nothing in the Tray and also when I go to Control Panel no sign of my SD disk in the unit. Tegiro
  18. When I connect my Garmin 60CSx to my computer I hear the regular "beep" sound that another device is conected to my computer. But nothing shows up. There is no indication in the systems tray and neither on the computer screen. However I am able to transfer geocaches to my unit via the MapSource program that came with it and is installed on my computer. When I go to Control Panel my Garmin device does not appear and neither does the microSD card, as a storage drive. Am I missing a step somewhere or is my Garmin 60CSx faulty?
  19. Anybody else lose the "D"'s in there signal strength bars when receiving WAAS or EGNOS? Pardon my ignorance but as a new 60CSx user what is/are "D" in this discussion thread? I have no idea what they are talking about. Thank you
  20. I just bought a refurbished 60CSx. How can I tell what version it contains!
  21. Thank you to all who have answered my query. They have provided me with the answer I was looking for and, I see it has opened a larger discussion...interesting to follow. Tegiro
  22. I am looking to buy a Garmin GPSMAP60CSx or CS, even though I am using a Nuvï 350. The reason is that I sometimes get a bit disoriented when going deep in the bush looking for a cache. It bothers me that I have done this a few times. So...as the Nuvï 350 does not do "backtracking" (for lack of an appropriate Garmin function word) I wonder if the Garmin GPSMAP60CS or CSx would allow me to go deeeeep into the woods searching for a cache, BUT, at the same time record my path, steps or whatever to the cache, and IF I do become disoriented use the "backtracking" feature to get back to my starting point, using the exact way I first came in? BTW, is it possible to do this with my Nuvï 350? Thanks for any help or suggestions.
  23. I seem to be in a bit of a mess regarding 2 of my activated geocoins. I initially handed them over to a friend who took them from Canada over to England where he dropped them into seperate caches. Now as I look at the distances these two geocoins have travelled, the portion from Canada to England is not recorded. As mentioned I did not placed them in caches in Canada as I wanted this friend to take them over to England. So what he did was "grab" them, flew over to England (he was transferred there) then eventually placed each one into seperate caches. I have tried to correct this but I am not seeing the proper distance recorded, i.e. 240 miles so far for one of them. Is there a way, explained in layman's terms, or better still, in detail as to how I could fix this properly? Thank you, Tegiro
  24. Pardon my ignorance, but why is it that an individual waypoint can be deleted from the Favorites listing but cannot in a POI? It would seem such an easy prgrammable thing to do!
  25. I have a Custom POI in my Nuvï 350 of 44 Geocaches. After I find them I individually save them to My Favourites, but they are still in my Custom POI folder. How do I delete individual waypoints listed in my Custom POI?
