catsnfish
Somewhere within The Online Geocacher magazine there are 6 pics of half geocoins, they could be hidden anywhere! When you match all 3 full coins, identify the geocoin and the article or page where you found each half and email your answers and caching name to the link in the cointest article. Then post in this forum thread “email sent” and feel free to tell of an article or story that caught your interest during your search. Winner will be selected by random drawing from all correct entries and will choose one of the hidden coins as the prize. The cointest will end November 28th at Midnight CST and while you may enter only once, incorrect entries will be notified and given a chance to correct their entry. The cointest will also be open to all readers and authors of the magazine as well as those in the forums. Any pics of full coins or coins in the pics of WOA TB’s are not correct answers for this cointest. Take your time and enjoy your search! Link to comment

catsnfish
Entries are pouring in a bit slower than I had hoped for, so maybe I should offer a bit more incentive. Let’s see, I have 3 trackable, un-activated, coins in this contest… I could give one coin to three winners… or I could give 3 coins to one winner! I’m just not sure which one would drum up more interest, so how about we vote on it? What will it be, a better chance or a better prize? Cast your ballot for 3 won (three winners) or won 3 (one winner of 3 coins) by entering the cointest according to the posted rules and casting your ballot in the entry email, your vote need not be posted in the forum. Prior to the prize drawing, the ballots will be tallied up and I will announce the number of winners that will be drawn. Previous entries will be contacted by email to allow them a vote as well. Oh yeah, the 3 coins are: Silver/blue glitter Guardians of the Night, Copper/red 2009 MOGA sixshooter And a Save the Ammocans. The Online Geocacher magazine is free to read, free to subscribe, and has no advertisement to clutter up the articles, stories and photographs submitted by geocachers around the world. +aka Momster
Well, catsnfish, if other searchers are in the same boat, it isn't a lack of interest. It is one elusive half coin. Hiding. Somewhere. In the night. But if you think a little more incentive would help find it... don't let me deter you. Though it would be a quicker find if I'd stop reading all those great articles and stories while searching! Edited November 14, 2009 by aka Momster Link to comment

GATOULIS
I suppose you searched and read the articles, the columns etc.... Inside there are some beautiful stories and adventures..... some are "hidden" but if you find them you will be rewarded! Now you know the coins and I am sure you have seen how they look like!!! you know... there is a story from the old times of middle Earth.... a story to teach us a lot of things, to enlighten us and show us the way to find the answers we seek.... In the lord of the rings movie, Frodo (do you remember him?) had its own destiny! He maybe was unlucky, or he was very lucky... it depends of how you see it.... Just like we see the number 13! So... he put the ring in his holster to start his adventure we all watched in the cinema or TV.... At first it looked like a game, but since he didn't know where he was going and what he will see on his road... it was like finding the game without a GPS.... according the the author (s).... if you search enough, if you search wisely and if you are patient.... you will find the answers you seek... The ones who found the truth.... I hope they will forgive me by posting the secrets of middle Earth.... after all... it is just a game... The ones who didn't understand me.... seek in your soul, seek in the magazine and always remember.... Luck goes with the courageous.... hmm... I hope I haven't messed you a lot! Link to comment

Mar-elendili
Nope, I was missing one with eyes... The holster was my third half found. And yes, it helped, but in a very indirect way. I had to go back and reread the whole site three times. Even went to search in source code for that specific keyword. And i tried again today to finally find that one article that wasn't linked to in either columns nor departments. Link to comment

DJ.J.ROCK
Nope, I was missing one with eyes... And i tried again today to finally find that one article that wasn't linked to in either columns nor departments. i still havent found it i actually fell asleap looking a few nights ago at the computer. your quote is probably my problem, not in columns nor departments?!? thats how ive been serching very systematicly, i actually printed each page and crossed each article off as i went thru the site ,, i have a stack of crossed off pages and no luck for me , im not gonna find it!! ive been offered help thru e-mail but i denyed, its just not fair that i get help and the others havent had help. at this point i just dont have the energy to start over for the 6th or seventh time. i have one last thing im gonna try and if it dosent turn results, then ive ran out of time anyway. ohhh well -ive had such bad luck with things for the past 6 months anyway this would just fit in that catagory for me. its a good read even after the 5th time thru, i found some articles that wernt there the fist 4 times. i really like the fact the forums users have made the articles, and have their own sections. if i click their pics it brings up say all of nikkos stuff or roddys corner. +GATOULIS
Do you remember my other post when I wrote my version of the Lord of the rings and Frodo's story??? Well... the whole story goes like that..... ....When Frodo learned what destiny had writen for him the whole adventure became a cache poetic... since he didn't know the way he asked some help from the elfs! He wanted a map of the area and to know the dangers he was going to face... The elfs created a photo assignment according to stories and legends from people who managed to return alive..... They showed him the way to the land called Die Bearenhoehle...... - what is this land? Frodo asked.... - oh... this is a very dangerous area!!! Be careful there! It is not a joke that the land is called..... Bear cave!!! Frodo with fear on his eyes didn't even have a word to say! He took his kayak and started riding the St joe... river! What a Kayak adventure.... when he found this dangerous land he had to find the exact spot to throw the ring so it can be destroyed... He didn't even have any clues or spoilers of that place! He was so afraid.... this was not the game anymore... he was like a blind man in an unknown area... it was like Finding the game without a GPS! ...The day was about to end when he found the volcano that would destroy this powerfull ring! He trowed the ring in it and watched it vanishing for ever..... the evil was beaten!!! ...At this moment a loud noice and a scream broke the silense of the moment!!! Frodo was so afraid that he felt some moisture in his pands!!!! He started running and entered in his kayak to leave the area!!! He knew that he was a hero but... what would his friends say??? This adventure started as a dangerous one but ended as.... a Smelling caching adventure!!! I hope you will enjoy my story and the search you will make may be easier now.... Link to comment
