the email i received said they held some aside for sale at 4 pm this afternoon, PST. i went on early this morning when i first checked email and they said sold out too.

For me, the mailing list email arrived around 3AM EST and I put an order through without trouble at about 6:30 AM EST. Should have ordered more! ;)

Hmmm, it's 2:30 +/- CA time and I was just able to place a pre- order for a gold beach flipflops coin. When I first logged on to the site, the nickel LE were still listed, but when I placed an order the listing was no longer there. That's okay, I wanted the gold ones anyway ;) .

I'm buying one of these this week, because I'm spending almost $100 to go to work for a month. This will cost about $30 at the most in gas for a month :huh:

I saw a red one on e-bay just today (coin, that is :) )

 

Scooters wouldn't be good on a freeway where you have to go 60mph, would they?

i feel for you, almost. i am spending between 300 and $400 a month to commute to work. it totally sucks. but it is all freeway driving so a scooter wouldn't work for me unless i took all back roads and those aren't very safe.

This one has a max speed of 69mph, so it would be able to drive on the freeway/interstate. I drive 4 miles to work on city roads, so no worries about interstate for me fortunately. To get anywhere else though, we have to drive on the interstate.

I am looking for the geocoin called "Cache of the Day" (I think). It has a rainbow trout on one side and a fisherman on the other. I am willing to purchase or trade (I have a VERY small collection but might try to trade to get a suitable trade...if that makes sense). The polished gold LE is my favourite but I might go for one of the other finishes.
