+FunLovingGeocacher
I mananged six first to finds last sunday, (but had to get up a 5.30am to do it!) Wondered if there was some sort of record? Quote Link to comment
+rutson
Currently held by Seasider IIRC, 12? Quote Link to comment
+Team JSAM
My record is 1 I tried for 2 yesterday and was 3rd on one and 2nd on the other, but then again I did not start until 1200 in my area I could get them all if I got up at 0530 but that would suck to hog all the FTF's Quote Link to comment
+The Bolas Heathens
We did something like 13 FTF's over a 2 day period a couple of months ago. Would have got them quicker but they were micros / nanos in the countryside and the co-ords were over 100ft off on quite a few of them Edited June 29, 2006 by The Bolas Heathens Quote Link to comment
+currykev
Not too many,as I have some fierce local competition. (you know who you are!!) Edited June 29, 2006 by currykev Quote Link to comment
+WxGuesser
I just got 2 today.. I think that ties my old record.. Quote Link to comment
+Simply Paul
Three in a day is my record, as far as I know. As I don't get any new-cache-notifications I'm at a bit of a disadvantage for FTFing. Quote Link to comment
Nediam
Just 1 for me Almost got 2 but was Second To Find on the other cache I tried. Don't bother much with FTFing, round my area there's usually a queue Quote Link to comment
+CrazyL200
8 Did them on PhilPamAndRobs excellent Golf series, leading up to The Claret Jug Edited June 29, 2006 by CrazyL200 Quote Link to comment

+The Flying Boots
Only 2 for us and one of those we weren't trying for as we'd already had a FTF earlier that same week with a cache set by Sid and Bob. We thought we'd wait and give someone else a chance at a FTF but by the end of the weekend it still hadn't been found and we just couldn't resist doing at at the end of a days caching as it was so local and in such a lovely area. +ajayhawkfan
I had 13 FTFs on Oct. 8 2004. Quote Link to comment
+Kryten
Four, the first three were members of a set of six and the last was the bonus cache of the set, fun indeed. Quote Link to comment
+allieballie
Four, the first three were members of a set of six and the last was the bonus cache of the set, fun indeed. Was that for East Lothian castles? 'Cos didn't you get all the FTFs for the set in Pitmedden Forest in one day too? Quote Link to comment
+Kryten
Yes you're right, I'd forgotten about that so it's another four in the same day. It's not quantity that counts though, my favourite FTF was also my first, all on it's own in an abandoned railway tunnel. Quote Link to comment

+Kryten
Sorry TC, if it's any consolation, I was after an FTF (at one of your caches) the following week and when only a few minutes walk from the cache, I met gilj coming the other way, what goes around, comes around. Quote Link to comment
+The Bongtwashes
Didn't the Bongtwashes get nine in one day? Sorry to disappoint you, my record is only 6, but that day's caching finished at 10:00am. Quote Link to comment
+steviep
I did 11 in a day, took me from 0730hrs till 2130hrs to complete as the last 2 were DNF's from others, but determination kept me going, I got my 5 mins of fame before seasiider took my title off me 2 months later, but who better, he's the man! +Jango & Boba Fett
Not wishing to be a party pooper but isn't doing multiple FTFs a bit like being the kid who slips out from the party and then eats half the birthday cake before the rest of us sit down to eat the birthday feast. So that when the dining room door is opened they they are slumped exhausted on the floor with chocolate smeared all round their mouth and half the food knocked off the table. I once had two FTF on the same day and then felt a bit shame faced so left the other two I could have done so that some others could get the thrill. After all most cachers are constrained by work and/or family commitments so why should those who can go out at any time be hogging all the fun. I know that the junior member of this team would love to get one FTF, but dashing for caches after school we had multiple attempts before he got his one and only to date. I much prefer chasing down a cache that has either been unfound for weeks/months or a cache which very few have managed to find. Quote Link to comment

Even regular FTF finders have to go to work, and be a family taxi service. ALL my multiple FTFs have been on a Sunday morning, when nearly anyone can get up and out before me. For some of us the weekend is the only time we can go and find more than just one or two caches. Personally, my favourite time to go caching is first thing on a Sunday, having sorted out my route on Saturday night. As a result I have had 2 sets of 3 FTFs, 2 sets of 4 FTFs, and one set of 6 FTFs. Of course, now all the local cache setters know this, they'll start making sure they're published midweek now. Quote Link to comment
