sduck Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 I last posted to this thread in 2007 - I've updated to an FJ Cruiser recently - excellent geocaching vehicle! Quote
GrateBear Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 I was using a BMW Z3 and Saab 97X, but about a month ago picked up a Jeep Wrangler Sport, which is fantastic for the forest service roads in my area. Quote
t4e Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 (edited) first was an Acura CL Type S, that car has gone where no low clearance vehicle has been before, now replaced with a 2012 Acura TSX , this one will follow suit, its first major outing was at The Spot http://www.geocaching.com/track/gallery.aspx?ID=2483743 Edited December 11, 2011 by t4e Quote
BigAl437 Posted December 12, 2011 Posted December 12, 2011 (edited) 2000 Oldsmobile Bravada with all-wheel drive and traction control. I guess it's now a classic since they don't make Oldsmobiles anymore. I also use an old Raleigh 10-speed bike with a GPS platform on the handlebars for urban caches. I use to drive a 98 olds Bravada, but then my daughter just crashed it during our last snow storm. Now I have to find something else to drive. Edited December 12, 2011 by BigAl437 Quote
frinklabs Posted December 13, 2011 Posted December 13, 2011 Since my son hasn't returned my bicycle yet, I have been using these (sadly I don't get to drive them): Quote

dellafiora3395 Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 Depends on who I'm with. With mother, a green Ford Explorer With boyfriend, a white Honda CRV When I get my car soon enough, a white Ford Focus Quote
Fox Neumann and team Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 I LOVE my AWD 99 Suby Outback, I just wish there was room for more bumper stickers! It's gotten me all over Western NC, even where there aren't roads and through the snow. Quote
diggingest_dogg616 Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 Some of these are pretty incredible! That Xterra of Ramness is wicked! I have a 1993 Ford F-150 my grandpa gave me. My dad has a 1987 Blazer. It's all lifted and everything... but it doesn't work right now. Other than that I've used my feet What I'd really like is a vehicle with a shorter wheel base that was lifted a little bit, but that will have to come later. Quote
W7WT Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 Having open heart surgery, wife had a stroke, loosing 3 tendions in right shoulder roto-cuff, being 86 has changed things. Sold the Piper Archer, two boats and two bicycles. Gave my son a Toyota Four-Runner. My grandson, my golf clubs, fly fishing equipment, and a Honda 250 Big Ruckus. Gave my granddaughter and her husband our Road-Trek van type RV. We now use a 2000 Land Cruiser and a relative new Scion t5 that gets about 33 mpg on the road, about twice the mpg that we get in the Land Cruiser. We can no longer go on any long or difficult hikes so do most of our geocaching on caches fairly close to the road. Take the Land Crusher if the wx is bad or we think we might be on some back roads. We enjoy traveling and geocaching along the road and smaller towns. Dick & Arlene Bremerton, WA Quote

DarkStar56 Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 I use a '95 Ford Explorer 4x4 which I have gotten stuck in fine northern Nevada sand twice. Some guys never learn! Really, I prefer to hike as long as it is mostly horizontal. Around here, often it isn't! Quote

Lineman101 Posted January 5, 2012 Posted January 5, 2012 Just wondering what kind of vehicle do people drive while Geocaching. Do you have 4x4's for the off-road cache's? Are there road warriors that mainly stick to the ones that you can drive right up to, or hike back? Quote
