do not resuscitate
These were at a place called Creek Park in Whittier, Ca. There were two caches here, one at each end of the park. A neighborhood park with a creek down the middle. Quote Link to comment
do not resuscitate
Jawbone Canyon store, Mojave Desert, Ca. A wheelchair accessible hiking path in Puente Hills, Ca. This was once a run-down cemetery that the city of Whittier converted into a neighborhood park. It gives you an odd feeling to know that while you are enjoying the park, you are really walking on graves. There is a dedication wall that lists all of the people buried here. Quote Link to comment
do not resuscitate
This was called Cache Jail and located in a bush on a lonely hiking trail in the Puente Hills, Ca. I took me a long time to spot it even though it was right in front of me. John Greenleaf Whittier was a turn-of-the-century poet, philosopher and quaker. And the founder of the city of Whittier. This is part of a mural showing scenes of early Whittier. Quote Link to comment

do not resuscitate
A cool relief map of the Antelope Valley and places within it. It was located at a vista point where a virtual cache was. Not a TB, but the condition of my head after a day caching on my bicycle when I forgot to wear a hat. Ouch! Not a TB, but homemade cookies that a cacher made and brought to an event in Corona Del Mar. Edited August 8, 2009 by do not resuscitate Quote Link to comment

MsMotorcycle
One of the first TBs we ever found, the Great CATsby, a stuffed cat who wanted to see things with "CAT" in the name. When we found him, he was freezing and damp in a local cache, so we put a hat on him, packed his suitcase and got him a camera.... So we took him somehwere warm, the Eastern Caribbean, on a cruise ship. Here he is lounging on the Lido deck with hamburger and fries with no CATsup! Here he is enjoying a view of CAT Island, Bahamas. Here he is taking a CAT nap in our suite, all that eating and sightseeing tired him out! When we returned home, we took him CATching, I know, it's a stretch! He found his first cache... ...and there was even a TB inside, a cute little monkey! We had so much fun with the Great CATsby, he traveled thousands of miles with us! Edited August 9, 2009 by MsMotorcycle Quote Link to comment

redwoodkestrel
I try my best to take photos of TBs before I drop them - my gallery has lots of them! Here are a few favorites: I just like the perspective on this one: This TB was supposed to visit train-related caches - this spot was perfect, AND had a cache there too!: This is one of my own TBs - took this before dropping it off on its journeys: This TB was in a race from England to get to a specific cache in Berkeley, CA - "The Slippery Slope." I took it to that cache and got a photo of the little car ready to descend the slope!: Quote Link to comment

ModelCitizen
Any travel bugs or geocoins that I pick up get treated to at least one adrenaline-charged adventure along with anything else I'm doing. Here's an F22 Raptor travel bug flying with me under one of my parachutes. And going to a New Orleans Saints football game. Another airplane travel bug, right after getting down from a 14,000 foot skydive with me at the Gold Coast Skydivers drop zone in Lumberton, Mississippi. Yeah, we jumped out of that plane right there. Then it started raining and the skydiving day was over. I came across this travel bug that is the same car as my little track car, so they had to have their picture taken together. A "Stunt Coin" on my skydiving rig before going up for a REAL stunt. A geotag flying with me. Looks like we're about 4,000 feet up at the time. Another geocoin, this time under my zippy little modified canopy. Watching a load of skydivers coming in for a landing. +ModelCitizen
Monty Moose on the USS Alabama battleship. I work with a local high school every year to help the kids design, build, and program a robot for the FIRST Robotic Competition. We only have six weeks from start to finish. Here's a SnowWolf geocoin on the front of one of the robots, amongst all the wiring and components. The rest of the robot. The "Race Official Tom" travel bug, about to make a 10-second, 140 mph 1/4 mile pass with me at the Hub City Dragway. One of those green jeep travel bugs making a jump with me. An American Caching geocoin with me in my favorite place to be in all the world -- up in the sky. I should have been born a bird. Blue skies! Model Citizen - Zero Discipline Quote Link to comment
ModelCitizen
You know, as fun as it is to post pictures of travel bugs, I really like to post videos of their adventures. Here are a few of the recent ones: Exhibition jump into a C-Spire sponsored, televised local high school football game... Alabama state skydiving record attempt and other jumps... I arranged a private track day for me and some friends at the Talladega Gran Prix Raceway road course. Several travel bugs came along for the ride... Visit link A few more jumps. One of the travel bugs got to come out of the fanny pack I carry them in and get some time in front of the camera at the end of this video... Another exhibition jump, onto a tiny little spot on a downtown street for the opening ceremony of the Mississippi State Games... Check out my YouTube channels for more videos. +Cool Cow Cachers
This spring I found a travel bug that was a small painting of Mount Rainier here in Washington State. It just happened that I was working on a puzzle cache utilizing this photo of The Mountain to locate the cache. When we arrived at ground zero the sky was overcast and our view of Mount Rainier was obscured but the travel bug filled in perfectly! Quote Link to comment
