  1. TB4XP73 This guy has 80+ pages of "visit" logs on our TB. When I looked into it, I discovered that he has a ton of TBs visiting every cache he finds.
  2. "That they can't be at events for mass logging is a ruling put out by Groundspeak to prevent what was known as "pocket caches". Geocaches are meant to be hidden, not handed to people simply to log. That was happening with those so-called "pocket caches", and that is what a moving cache becomes when brought to an event to be signed. Doing so can cause the cache to be archived by Groundspeak" This particular cache was logged by several cachers at a Mega Event in NJ last November. The CO hasn't deleted any logs yet and Groundspeak hasn't done anything. Andh honestly looking back at the logs before the Mega event, everyone that found it between August 2014 and the event found it while it in someone's possession.
  3. Congratulations! You played a big part in a grand geocaching adventure. 31 Days of Geocaching celebrated the spirit of geocaching during the entire month of August. Geocachers collected souvenirs for each day they logged a “Found it” or an “Attended” during the month. The calendar-style collectibles showcase the wildlife, scenery and tools that empower geocachers as they explore the outdoors.
  4. I'll be in Hershey on the 17th and hoping to find the one hidden in Hershey Park. I think that would be a cool cache to find on International Geocaching Day.
  5. So you recognize that there are caches that want to play the game different than you do, but if someone doesn't play the same was as you they are characterized as people that will complain about anything? I recognize that there are different people that cache and play the game different. Some find as many as they can. Some find caches in consecutive days. Some like souvenirs. Some only go to events. I don't care how anyone plays but myself and my kids. I'm not characterizing anyone that plays differently than I do as anything. I am just making a general statement that there are people that will find anything to complain about (micros in woods, lamp posts, guardrails, souvenirs, etc...). Some people will scour the geocaching web page to find flaws in someone else's game play. I will cache with my family however we want to. Have fun and Thanks For The Comment.
  6. We have been finding caches every day this month to collect the souvenirs. Everybody plays different, as long as its still within the rules. Some people will still find something to complain about. The point is, everyone is not built the same. One note about the souvenirs, it is kinda cool to see what the little picture will be that comes each day. I wonder if they'll have a lamp post souvenir...
  7. "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."
  8. Quackers the Duck Its tough to be a Travel Bug
  9. We find great swag at yard sales. At one, this Summer, I bought a huge bin of toys for $10. I spent 3 hours sorting through it and came out with great stuff. Hundreds of little plastic figures (army, cowboys, indians, pirates, etc.), hundreds of little plastic animals, cars, dinos, McToys, etc. Some of them I saved to turn into TBs. The rest became swag.
  10. I've noticed that every trackable this guy owns has ended up missing. Perhaps he is enacting some sort of revenge on the rest of the geocaching community by being irresponsible with other peoples trackables? I would just create a proxy and send it out. Then I would leave a note on the TB page saying "Stolen by Mr A." Who knows when this guy will ever release it...
  11. Maybe you'll discover them again. Who knows...
  12. On a cache about jersey numbers(GC2A0XN), we were the 8th logger...
  13. Really who cares? It doesn't matter. You should keep your log since you signed the FTF spot and saw a blank log book. They can keep thier log because it seems to matter more to them. Seriously, I wish more cachers would claim FTDNF.
  14. Looks like we may have our first casualty. Rocky the Rhino Most of his miles were from tagging along with us. He didn't last very long after we let him go. We're still hoping that he was picked up by someone who forgot to log him, or the cacher who put him in the cache logged him in the wrong one. We'll see.

  16. Perhaps you got a little too attached to someone else's property. You helped it on it's mission, and yet you are geo-stalking it after the fact. But hey, everyone plays this game differently. So if you want to worry about other people's TBs, then have at it.
  17. I have actually seen logs where a cacher writes, "(Cacher) made the find while I sat in the car." How is this person allowed to claim it as a find? I have also seen, "Signed as (geocache group). (Cacher) made the find while the rest of us were in the restaraunt." Again, how can they claim it as a find when they never saw it?
  18. Well, if this were the case then after all the major landmarks have been claimed as "challenges" then what will the future hold? Go to these coordinates and find this tree/ rock/ wall/ billboard/ sign/ bush/ statue/ etc. and take your pic. That would be ridiculously stupid.
  19. Well they were able to manage to find some time to create a souvenir for thier own event for August 20, 2011, so why the delay for the IGD one? http://www.geocaching.com/souvenir/?guid=876ebbaa-fc71-486e-905b-7e0474a1c036
  20. I deleted the only challenge we did after seeing that it added to my count. I like that the count on the website actually matches the count on my GPSr. Maybe if these counted differently, like say Trackables, then everyone would be happy. Maybe then have new souvenirs associated with challenges will make it better? Speaking of souvenirs, why not create some for moving/ discovering trackables?
  21. I am not liking that the challenges add to my "finds". I only did the hiking photo one, and now I have an extra find on my profile. I didn't find anything except a photo on my laptop. The challenge count should be seperate like the trackable count.
