+carolalma
Do you experienced types collect the treasures and keep them? Or do you use them to trade another time? Quote Link to comment
+Renegade Knight
Once you trade, it's yours. Sometimes things get moved. Sometimes it's kept. Quote Link to comment
blocko1000
Most of the time I trade what I got from one cache at another cache. Quote Link to comment
+briansnat
Depends. Some things I save and put in other caches, or my own. If something is particularly useful, I'll keep it and use it. Quote Link to comment
+The Source
My kids have a ammo box which they keep everything we trade for from caches. If the kids are with us I usualy let them pic something out so they can remeber the fun when they go back and look in their ammo box full of stuff. J Quote Link to comment
+NevaP
Many of my travel bugs are cute things I've found in caches, that just seem to say "I want to be a TB" For example: This one and this one and this one. I'm not caching with kids and I usually do TNLN (other than my signature item -photo magnets) but I have been collecting from caches Christmas ornaments and things that can be used as Christmas ornaments and this year I will have a small GeoChristmasTree decorated with them. And every time I find one of those little mini-Furbys I've taken it. There are five of them sitting on the computer desk right now. They proabably will go on the GeoTree too. NevaP, trying to decide what to be when she grows up. Quote Link to comment
+Moose Mob
My kid and her friends have developed a habit of finding something neat, playing with it for a few caches, then trading it for something else neat. Sure beats buying toys. Quote Link to comment
+carolalma
OK, Moose Mob, I'll let my husband play with it until we find the next one. Thanks, everyone for your ideas. Quote Link to comment
+hukilaulau
I think the new rule is: anything good you have to give to your oldest brother. Quote Link to comment

+Moose Mob
OK, Moose Mob, I'll let my husband play with it until we find the next one. Thanks, everyone for your ideas. No problem! I hope you have fun with that Jr Sheriff's badge you picked up in Georgia. Quote Link to comment
continental drifter
I find myself gravitating towards any type of figure.I found a rubber gorilla that I liked so that started me on a menagarie of animals, cartoon characters and superheros that I display proudly. Quote Link to comment
+carolalma
Yep, Hukilaulau, Mom taught her kids to share. Anyway, I just hope we can get good enough to collect "stuff", and then go on to Travel Bugs. Quote Link to comment
+Miragee
I have a shelf full of silly stuff I have somehow gotten attached to. It is right above the computer monitor and the Geocaching calendar. The White Jeep won't stay there very long. I just picked it up today. Quote Link to comment
+HaLiJuSaPa
Usually what I keep is either items that my kids would enjoy (like a toy race car, etc.) or WG bills (though I have also created and put in 1 or 2 of them as well). Sometimes I'll take other items for the purpose of putting in some other cache in the future. I have not taken travel bugs yet as I want to better understand how to log them, etc. I almost took travel bugs for the first time on the two caches I hit yesterday, but both were stuffed animals that my son wanted badly and it was easier to explain to him there why we didn't take it than explain why we took it home but are putting it back in another box a week or two later. +NevaP
Here's my GeoTree. Everything on it except Signal was found in a cache. Quote Link to comment
+maylith
A few things I like to keep, like a brass ball paperweight or sig items. Other things either get traded back in or I use them to help start a new cache. Sometimes I just drop things in and take nothing out, or even TNLNSL...on the few occasions I've left my trade items in the car. Quote Link to comment

+maggieszoo
Sometimes I trade something I found into another cache, but mostly I pick up things I like. I have a collection of wooden nickels, one of foreign currency, and a really nice rubber lizard collection! My hubby collects firefighter figures and firetrucks that he finds. PS Love the tree! +One of the Texas Vikings
I have a set of shelves in my living room and everything I have ever gotten out of a cache (except TB's of course) is sitting on it... When people come to visit they ask about it... Makes for good memories.... Quote Link to comment
+ATMA
We keep a few things from the finds, especially the $100 bills but always try to trade up. Most of the time, if we take anything at all, we will send it to another cache. Quote Link to comment
