+Simply Paul
Read in a log today: Took Compact Flash CardLeft peg And not a hint of shame! Have you seen anyone own up to a worse swop? SP Quote Link to comment
lakeuk
What size was the Compact Flash Card? Quote Link to comment

Then again, I haven't met his wife... Some trade reports can be misleading, though. I was FTF on one of the first caches I did, and I took a rather nice and probably fairly pricey multitool and left a mercury maze. I thought later that my log may have read as if I'd left one of those little round plastic out-of-a-Christmas-cracker things in place of a multitool. I didn't. It was about six inches by six, well made, in its original box, and probably more pricey than the multitool. Quote Link to comment
+Moote
Dont know if this would count as a bad trade but been thinking of this one since my 4WD broke Took car left AmmoBox Milton (aka Moote) P.S. Just in case you can't work it out the cache is a VW Polo Edited October 16, 2005 by Moote Quote Link to comment
+The Golem
I liked this one...good on ya!! look at the log entry under mine... yay - go Cathrene...!! Edited October 16, 2005 by The Golem Quote Link to comment

+Chris n Maria
We often fill our large ammo box caches with paper back books (brand new, read once). We were chuffed to see Took book, Left pebble in the log book. Fare warms the cockles of my heart it does. Quote Link to comment
+Simply Paul
yay - go Cathrene...!! Sorry Golem, no prize. "Left nothing, took Simply Red CD" sounds like a fair swap to me. Actually, if I saw a log like that on one of my own caches, especially from an inexperienced cacher, I'd be sure to drop them a polite email to ask them not to do it again. The more experienced the cacher, the less polite the email would be SP Quote Link to comment

markandlynn
We have occasionally left a toolkit keyring, its a really nice swap item a lot of people seem to like. However the logs go "took keyring left toy dinosaur". Or as we saw on a cache we left a brand new watch in took watch left nothing that did annoy us they even wrot it in the online log. The non logging finders are just as bad. Quote Link to comment
+The Hokesters
I saw this one on a mate's cache the other week; Took hand warmer and floppy discsLeft scoobie and sunflower badge So a bit of tatty lastic string and a cute 'badge' are of the same value as a hand warmer and some CD's? (They were Blank CD-Rs not floppy's). Quote Link to comment
Da Rubber Chicken
Saw this one a second ago by the JGG T : swedish chef (to make the cache easier to shut) L : marble No wonder the box didn't shut It wasn't a Dan & Pid cache Da Rubber Chicken Quote Link to comment
+Moote
Dear All I read with disgrace the way you have offended Simply Red fans; just because these unfortunate people were not blessed with the ability to hear does not mean we should take the P*** out of them. After all they have to live with this unfortunate affliction and that is bad enough. Milton Quote Link to comment
+Woody's Wanderers
I Like Simply Red...especially when they haven't had any songs out for a loooong while! Quote Link to comment
Browser
No names - No pack drill...... but : "Took Ball game, left nothing (sorry)." seems a tad stingy to me. Browser Quote Link to comment
+The Hokesters
I had one - Brought the kids with me but no swaps. Sorry but each of the kids wanted to take something so we took: Ball, Marbles, Ballons, Crayons and whistle. I wouldn't even own up to that one! Quote Link to comment
+Skippy and Pingu
We had one once, went along the lines of: Grandson was pestering so took Football man, Bouncy Ball, Puzzle and glitter pens. Since Grandson had nothing on him, left nothing How bad is that??!!! He shouldn't have been allowed to take anything if there were no swaps to put back in! Quote Link to comment
+dino-irl
Saw a similar one recently out: the emergency wistlein: nothing, sorry It's obvious the cacher knew they were doing the wrong thing and I can't see what attraction the whistle held. I'm sure most people carry cash on them. It's a bit of a lame swap (unless they're either substantial or unusual) but better than a sorry! Feel sorry for folks with demanding kids but why go out caching unprepared for swaps. That's not fair either on the kids or the cache owner. Quote Link to comment

+The Blorenges
Grandson was pestering so took Football man, Bouncy Ball, Puzzle and glitter pens.Since Grandson had nothing on him, ... ...they should have completed the swap, thus ".....left him " (Cruel, aren't I ) Mrs B Quote Link to comment
markandlynn
To me everyone either has money or batteries in thier pocket i had to leave some 2300 nimh batteries once because i forgot my swaps and the kids found something really nice in a cache. Now own up how many adults have taken the water pistols we keep leaving in caches Fair trading is one of the ways we educate our kids, we also have a taking turns to go first system at caches. Themed caches are a major bind especially for the younger two children who really dont understand this concept especially Aaron who suffers from semantic pragmatic learning difficulties. +The Hancock Clan
This is from a log of a cache that we find hard to forget! Took Rubber & Toy Whale. Left Toy Lorry, Pink Brush, Broken Glass, Bits of Number Plate, Flakes of Paint, Fragments of Bumper and a large dent in the boot! Reversing into trees is not something we'd like to make a habit of, it was very expensive! Quote Link to comment
+The Blorenges
I know where there's a cache with a Rolls Royce Silver Ghost as a swop Mrs B Quote Link to comment
+kbootb
One of my caches had a Rolexe watch.... and the spelling was correct. I pulled it out and was going to turn it into a travel bug but I just haven't got round to it yet. I wonder how long it would live in the wild, seeing as even cheap stuff I have got out of Christmas crackers and turned into TBs have gone missing. Quote Link to comment
+adambro
The log for the cache I rescued a few weeks ago could have read: Took Soaking Wet Logbook and disgusting container. Left New Logbook and new container. Quote Link to comment

Shep, Seren & Tess Dog
If we find something we really like in a cache, but dont have anything suitable to swop, we will always leave 50p or a £1 instead...you can guarantee that the money will be the next thing to be taken by the next finders! Back last year, we found Stonefisk's cache by the first Severn Bridge. He'd taken a lot of time & effort into placing some really good things in the cache. We took the cordless mouse (which we still use!) but all we had to leave was a fish pendant on a string. We wrote in the log that we would return (we only live a few miles away) & leave something elce to make up for it, but only a few days after, the cache went missing...I still feel bad about that S.xx Quote Link to comment
