+Al 7365
Just wondering what do you belive the experince brakets to be? For me it would be this but I would like to know what other people think: 0-50 finds Newbie 51-250 finds Virtual Newbie 251-500 finds Farly experinced 501-999 finds Experinced 1000-5000 finds Very Experinced Quote Link to comment
+*mouse*
Personally I don't think it has much to do with numbers - these days you could go out and get 100 caches in a day if you wanted to. Wouldn't make an experienced cacher.... For me it's more about variety and seeing all sides of caching. So once you have found a few caches of every type, size, terrain rating and difficulty - then maybe you can begin to call yourself experienced. After all, you will have experienced all different types of caching. Until then in my eyes I'm afraid the newbie status remains! Quote Link to comment
+Bear and Ragged
Given the ET power trail in the US where there are many 100's of caches, all hidden in the same style... All possible to find in one day, how does that make you 'an experienced' cacher? Number of cache types, cache hide styles found, D and T ratings all add to the experience, to make you an experienced cacher. Not just 'numbers' Quote Link to comment
+The Blorenges
51-250 finds Virtual Newbie Sorry, you'll have to re-name this group - Virtual Newbies are no longer allowed. MrsB Quote Link to comment
team tisri
I agree with B&R. Experience comes from finding a wide range of caches - different containers, different styles of hide, different levels of difficulty and terrain and hidden by a range of different owners. That gives you far more experience than finding a given number of film pots on the back of road signs. Quote Link to comment
+FantasyRaider
1000-5000 finds Very Experinced Oh I wished! Yes caching gets easier with more finds but it's never fool proof! Quote Link to comment

+PeakFault
Also I'd argue DNF's must count for something in terms of gaining experience. The old saying that you learn from your mistakes is as true to caching as any other part of life in my opinion. Quote Link to comment

+SeekerOfTheWay
I think it's folks temperament and their willingness to learn that make them either a newb or experienced. That and variety of their experiences. That's all. Quote Link to comment
+The QCs
I'm a newbie to this caching lark having only been caching for 8 months. But, I have found 1100+ caches in that time. However, I am limited in my 'hard' caches as I always have the baby with me...bit hard doing a 5/5 with him in tow, the buggy also doesn't cope well when the terrain rating is over 3.5! I'll class myself as an obsessed newbie! Quote Link to comment
