Parting with some HTF geocoins

I have been sorting out some coins and have found a box of geocoins and some are HTF LE's and AE's that I am going to offer for sale. I was going to put them on the eBay but I decided to offer them to the collectors here.

If anyone is interested in a list please e-mail me and I will e-mail the list to you.

There are no prices, just a list of the coins and a chance for you to make an offer on them.

I will receive offers until Saturday 5pm MST, after which I will notify the new owners and activate the rest or ebay them. There are around 45 geocoins.

Please remember that no offer is too large small.

If I overlooked and put a gift coin on the list that was meant to be personal to me, please let me know. ;)

I had to force myself to walk away from the keyboard and breathe before I posted here. For those of you who don't like animosity or po's posts, you had better stop reading now. I have FINALLY been pushed over the limit, didn't know when it would happen and maybe it's because of recent events that I'm a little more touchy than usual but I'm tired of being all nicey nice about everything and bending over backwards to be understanding and giving.

I consider myself to be very honest and I really try hard to to give back to the geocoin community. You Mr.E have been on the receiving end of this on more than one occassion. I've always considered you a buddy and you have been very nice to me and gracious. I've often said on these threads that I would like a chance to get back the TSUN version/gifts I give to others before they are offered up for sale.

However before anyone has the opportunity to say 'tsun you gave the coins away, so whomever has them is free to do what they want with them.' Yes, I'm quite aware of this and you would be right but that doesn't mean I can't be angry for a number of reasons.

When I saw this thread pop up, I had this funny feeling and that's why I emailed for the list. However it appears the list I received is different by 2 coins from what others have received. The sad part is those two coins are TSUn version coins that were given to you as gifts. Not only did you deprive me the opportunity to try and get my own coins back, you were dishonest with me about the list. I think this is a little odd, don't you? (Let's see, the list I got was missing the RFJV1 BN and the 2007 Earth Turtle BN/Gold (blemished) versions). This is a slap in the face and I hope you make some big money on those coins that I gave you for free and that you denied me the opportunity to get back. Please don't try to insult my intelligence by saying the were accidentally left off because I won't believe it. Maybe that's harsh but if I'm being honest, that's the truth. I guess I know where I stand in the friendship scheme of things.

I could have sent a private email but heck, I want people to know where I now stand. This isn't the first time this kind of thing has happened. I take the blame in the fact that I gave the coins so I shouldn't be upset what happens to them with the exception that I wasn't even allowed a chance to get the coins back. It has been building for awhile but I think I'm done with the giving because I'm a weak, I can't handle the dishonesty and I'm tired of dealing with it. I suppose if someone is going to benefit from AE/TSUn version coins, than it should be me, guess I'll just starte ebaying and making outrageous trade requests for them.

Well, there, I just unloaded and if this was inappropriate well so be it but I'm entitled to my thoughts and I this was the straw that broke the camels back.

DISAPPOINTED to say the least,

tsun

...a whole lot of venting removed...

If you give someone a coin it's theirs to do as they wish.

It's very poor form of you to interject your feelings in a simple coin sale thread, especially when it could have been done in private.

I, for one, wish to see what he has for sale...WITHOUT the drama.

You've got to admit that sending Tsun a DIFFERENT list that OMITS her coins is the height of dishonesty!! I'm sure Mr.E will get some good money from all of these coins -- including hers -- but none of it will be from me. Kinda makes me wonder whether everything else on the list is as advertised.

I also gotta admit that tsun's post has made me rethink making an offer. I hope it's simply a misunderstanding but I fear it isn't.

A nice compromise might be for the coins in question to be listed on eBay with the proceeds going to a charity of the OP's choice. But then again, it is not for me to decide.

I, for one, greatly appreciate that Steph posted this on here and let everyone know the dishonesty that is going on. It's information for people who are concerned with something like this happening to their own coins.

It is also poor form to reiterate a statement that was already acknowledged and not needed to be repeated. If you truly were not interested in furthering the drama, then you would have not commented on her post and pretended it wasn't there.

How can there be dishonesty when they are his coins to do as he wishes?

No email list yet...did my email get through, Mr.Explorer3?

I, for one, would Never think of selling coins that have been gifted to me. - - - Sometimes I wonder when I participate in a "mission" and then I see familiar coins up on e-bay  - - - But I suppose that one can do what they want because they will anyways.

I think the dishonesty was when he emailed her the list minus the coins she gifted to him when he was emailing the list out to others with the gifted coins included.

If there is nothing wrong with what he did, then why would he try and hide it? <------ and that is between he and Steph and doesn't require further discussion here unless either of them opt to do so.

Is it possible to post the list here or are there some non-trackables on it?

i gotta agree with part of this, i would remember each and every coin that was a personal gift to me from someone who knew me and my tastes and i would keep it forever (unless it was from an old boyfriend)

but if i sent a coin to someone as part of a mission and then saw it for sale that wouldn't bother me at all.

they might not have liked it, not their taste, they already have that coin. many reasons.

but i also gotta say, steph's coins are unique, and if they were a gift, then they shouldn't be part of a sale's list.

and yes, arthur and trillian, if you have a gift then you should be able to do with it what you want. but there is a fine ethical line here.

perhaps because the seller knew that steph would want her coins back. she has made that offer publicly.

if the sale's list was above board, then why wasn't it posted publicly like all the other folks have done who are selling large numbers of coins? and if it was above board, then why were there two different lists? and if the seller wants people to bid on his coins, why not just put them up on ebay for crying out loud. this isn't an auction site.

i think the whole thing rather stinks and it pretty interesting to me to see who lining up on what side of the fence.

This is off topic, but a gift is a gift. If you want to upset the person who gave you that gift by selling it for a profit. Then to me, you are saying that you don't need special gift coins anymore. Please don't turn this into a hard ship plea too. Haven't we heard that one way too many times? ;)

are non-trackables a no-no on a sales list?

Yes, it is a no-no to offer coins for sale on this forum if they aren't trackable. You can offer non-trackables for trade, but not for sale.

Correct. And as it has come to my attention that this list does contain non-trackables this thread is not closed and will soon fall off the page.

Just because you don't actually list the coins on this page doesn't mean that you can use these forums to promote the sale of them.

I'll be contacting the OP offline.

Per the OP - no more bids, this is closed.
