  1. They might not be a Picasso or Rembrandt but they're art. Not all are ? or traditionals. This one might surprise you. https://coord.info/GC672VR I disagree that plotting coordinates on a map to look like an image and then hide pill bottle PT's can be called art. It's clutter on a geocaching map, nothing more. There are a few made of traditionals at the actual posted coordinates that are art, but not that Wherigo that you linked. So it's only art if it's made out of a certain kind of cache? That is ludicrous.
  2. I have found that you can have a Pokémon-themed cache, as long as you don't directly promote the other game. I placed this puzzle cache and it passed review easily. In my case, the information is part of the card-based game and not the app game exclusively. Gotta Catch 'em All! It's been found many times and seems to work out nicely. As with anything, it's all in how you word things and present the information.
  3. They would both be meet and greet-style events...just different spots and days.
  4. Hey, folks...question. I know there's this rule about event stacking...so many events per day, especially around Megas, etc., but how about this...? We have been hosting a semi-regular meet and greet dinner/breakfast event just after midnight at a 24-hour chain restaurant. Someone suggested having dinner at one spot late at night, and then a bit later, after midnight, having dessert at another spot. So, would it be possible to have an event in two different spots on two different days, but one separated by an hour or so?
  5. Why would you make an Earthcache PMO? I make most of my caches PMO, but never Earthcaches. There's no container to lose, but there is an education to be gained. Why restrict it?
  6. There are no plans for a New Year's souvenir. Bummer. Thanks for the reply.
  7. As the title suggests, are we getting souvenirs for New Year's Eve and New Year's Day like we did last year?
  8. Oops...I am sorry. I didn't know that.
  9. How far away from the published EC are we talking about? Over a mile away in a city.
  10. Hi there... I recently submitted an Earthcache (GC6XYN9) and it was denied because the reviewer said it was too similar to a nearby Earthcache (GC4FAAC). I feel the lessons are different enough to allow for both. My lesson is almost totally based on fossils and the existing one is more based on rock formation, with a casual mention of fossils in it. I sent the reviewer a reviewer note, but I have not heard back from them. Is there any way I can appeal this decision? I feel that my proposed Earthcache stands on its own from the one nearby. Thanks.
  11. Hi there... On the main page there's links to search for events near me and the newest caches. They used to show the local caches, but now they show far more caches hundred of miles off. Is this a bug or something? How do I get it back to the way it was? Thanks.
  12. I love geocaching...I love it so much that I had this crazy idea. When I pass away, I wish to be cremated. After that is done, I'd like to have a few mega bison containers filled with some of my cremains and then somehow permanently sealed. Add to them a travel bug dog tag and voilà...I am now a trackable. I'd have them post missions asking people to take me to events, popular caches, etc. I'd stiil be able to participate in geocaching! So, what do you think of this? Would you actually take and move on or otherwise help such a bug with its mission?
  13. This is what I do. Bingo. I have a novel idea when it comes to how people log caches. Ready? Grab a pencil and write this down: Don't worry about how people log their finds. Log how you want and let them log how they want. Don't pet the sweaty things.
  14. I have the Moto G4 and I have been caching with it just fine.
  15. Am I reading correctly that a GPSr is the new status symbol? Now that *everyone* has a smartphone, a GPSr distinguishes a person as a notch above the commoners?? Precisely. Real cachers use GPSr units.
  16. Ignored? As far as I can tell, it's one of the favorite features of most.
  17. Now, ohgood, since it seems that you like making claims and not backing them up, I will engage you no further on this topic until you have definitive proof of such accuracy that only you have claimed. Basically, back up your claims or stop spouting nonsense.
  18. Somehow I doubt this. That would be dang good accuracy even with a dedicated handheld. my almost four year old smartphone thanks you for the compliment ! I'm glad there are skeptics, they just need to get out and try it next! It wasn't a compliment. I am calling out your male bovine excrement... but, when you call bs, you have to prove it. or you lost credibility every single time. good luck ! Not quite. You made the claim, so... However, I'll play along. Read enough threads around here and information on various websites, and you'll find +/-10 feet to be good in optimal conditions. You claim it in bad with an old phone. You're full of it. if you prove me wrong I'll really enjoy the evidence and completely agree. unfortunately we have no proof you've provided. politeness still counts in the process. I am not provoked. You made the claim, the burden of proof is on you. Go.
  19. Very good post. When it comes down to it, if it works well for geocaching, then all is well.

  23. Nice attempt at transference. Again, why are you *really* seeking this information?
  24. As for caching, I'm pro-choice. #dangyouautocorrect
