My favorite game from the past and a game that still makes my brain hurt is Duck Hunt for "old school" Nintendo. HOW DOES THE GUN WORK!??!!!???!!!?! Sometimes after the dog had me driven to depression and humiliation I would attack the clay discs, at least they couldn't hurt me mentally like that darn dog. My favorite game from the present is the Splinter Cell series for PS2. It's a game that requires quick reflexes and stealth. Actually it's a lot like caching I guess.... except the wares for SC are a little more lethal than those I use caching (unless I'm attacking a nano LOL!). Thanks for the cointest!

On my summer "vacation" I wrote a 80 page graduate thesis and milked cows twice a day. Yes.... that was a vacation *hint of sarcasm* Oh I almost forgot... my supervisor sent me to Indianapolis for a conference and I met a lot of the local cachers and did some great caches in the downtown area!

If you want colored duct tape, the Dollar Store sells it. One roll will do almost 3 PB jars. They only have solid colors though. We've bought camo-ed duct tape from Mountain Equipment Co-op. Can't remember the price. Also, now that hockey season is over, I've bought camo hockey tape before. I found it didn't shine like the duct-tape and blended in a little better.

We were caching yesterday and had to take advantage of snapping this pic! There were a bunch of beef cattle on the dyke we were walking around and one lonely dairy cow.

An event would be great! I think my conference is done at suppertime each day, so after that I should be good to go. As long as it's within walking distance of the RCA Dome area. As for TBs I can ask the TB hotel owner here if I can take some TBs from there and bring them down for an exchange. I don't think I can handle bringing down all my coins.... but I'll bring some special ones and my traders! Thanks for all the replies! I'm looking forward to this trip; I just with the Beth-half could tag along, but I'm travelling solo.

Since I've spent the last 6 years doing research on dairy cows I thought it would be fitting to post these pics! The woman in the picture is one of the research technicians taking rumen fluid from a ruminal cannula in a dairy cow. It's a window into the largest stomach of a cow (and every ruminant). Enjoy!

I am going to be in Indianapolis from July 6-11 for a conference at the RCA Dome/Convention Center (of course I'll be caching!) and I was wondering if the local cachers meet for coffee or anything in that time period. Welcome to the addiction.... I mean sport... If your town/county is swamped with micros... I guess there's only one way to get your feet wet, and that's jump in! Starting off I would try and avoid cache names that may hint around that it will be difficult to find, or if the difficulty/terrain rating is high. It would also be helpful to look at previous cacher's logs on the cache page. I would recommend trying caches where cachers write anything to the way of "quick", "easy", and avoid "took a while to find". As for local geocachers... most states/provinces have at least one group or association. You can search the Groundspeak Forums for regional forums... and these should lead you to local cachers/associations. You might also try contacting the cache owners of your local caches. Chances are if they hid a micro, they're local! Happy Hunting! *Edit: Added some post-post ideas*
