doingitoldschool
When we went for the hunt to day, here's the songs we played: 1. On the way to the site - "Don't Stop Believing" - Journey - to get us ready 2. After the find - "Another one bites the dust" - Queen 3. and after a quick and fruitless search for a 2nd (didn't look hard enough to post a DNF) - "I still haven't found what I'm looking for" - U2 What are you playing when you're caching? +mtn-man
whatever happens to be playing on Sirius - 80's hairbands, or 90's alternative, or some of the current stuff. Switch to Sirius 35, the Chill Channel. I can't get my radio to change from that. I've got some great stuff on my iPod now, about 4.5 hours of iTunes goodies. I'm rocking out to the cache. And for fellow forum members... I've got nothing but love for ya'... (Starring a certain geocacher from the Orlando area.) Quote Link to comment
whereissit
Here are some of mine, with the corresponding lyric that matches up with my hunt... I Get Around - 2PAC- "Round and Round, Round We Go." Searchin' -Lynyrd Skynyrd- " I Asked the Wiseman One Sunny Day, Can you Help me Findy My Way." Run Around -Blues Traveler- "Why You Wanna Give Me a Run-Around, Is It a Sure-Fire Way to Speed Things Up, When All It Does is Slow Me Down." I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For -U2- "I Have Crawled, These City Walls, Only To Be With You, But I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For, But I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For You Can't Always Get What You Want -Rolling Stones- "You Can't Always Get What You Want, But If You Try Sometimes-You Might Just Find, You Get What You Need" Amazing Grace - "I Once Was Lost, But Now Am Found." +Pod-Cache
Allright, this topic was made for me; geocaching and music are my number 1 and 2 hobbies (hence the name ) OK, so the first song that came into my head: Into the Great Wide Open - Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers Then taking a quick scan through my iTunes: Its a Long Way to the Top - ACDC Man In the Box - Alice in Chains Roam - B-52's Shoebox - Barenaked Ladies (as long as it's water proof) Round the Bend - The Beta Band Long Lost - Better Than Ezra Lost Together - Blue Rodeo The Truck Got Stuck - Corb Lund OK, so some of those are a stretch. But pretty darn good IMHO for only getting up to "c" To be continued.... Quote Link to comment
PrincessBTigress
One that often comes into my head while out caching is the "I Would Walk 500 Miles" song. I have bad knees (runs in my dads family) so a medium walk into the woods that would be nothing to most can often leave my knee or knees in great pain for a day or two or more. That makes those small walks feel like miles to me. Quote Link to comment
The Pathman
Pink Floyd The Cult Black Stone Cherry Just to name a few. It all depends on the mood I'm in Quote Link to comment
Flatouts
Although we don't listen to music while out caching, this topic got me to thinking what song would come to mind if we did. Hmmm....I thought and what comes to mind is the "Hokie Pokie" You stick your right arm in, you pull your right arm out, you stick your right arm in and you twist it all about, you do the hokie pokie and you turn yourself around...that's what it's all about! +Flatouts
Here's another one that comes to mind..."Here we go round the Mulberry Bush" ! Quote Link to comment
