+dougsmiley
Visit indianageocaching.com/coin/ to order your 2007 Indiana Geocoins! Preorders will continue until September 31. Coins will be shipped sometime in October, just depending on how fast they get here after I order them October 1st. There is also a secondary coin, same design, in a gold finish available to indiana residents. Quote Link to comment
+AtlantaGal
If you're leaving preorders open for 2 months, can we wait to pay the invoice for awhile? Quote Link to comment
+dougsmiley
Certainly! You can wait until the last day if you wish. Forgot to mention: These will also have Icons, and if more than 1,000 are sold, a custom prefix. Quote Link to comment
Son of Cyclops
WOW! $7 for a coin is a really great deal. And it looks like a very nice coin. Edited August 5, 2007 by Son of Cyclops Quote Link to comment
+sfwife
Nice coin. Since we were just in Indiana for the Geobash I decided I needed to have it! Quote Link to comment
+dougsmiley
I priced the coins as cheaply as possible. The only profit I'm looking to make is enough to cover the hosting costs at IndianaGeocaching.com for a couple years. If all goes well, i'll do it again next year at the same prices. +Prairiepartners
Are the Indiana resident coins trackable? It doesn't say either way on order page. I know last years wasn't but just wanted to make sure before ordering. Also are they going to be limited in qty or just amount ordered? Quote Link to comment
+dougsmiley
Just amount ordered. And they are not trackable. Quote Link to comment
+d-town cachers
nice. i sent an email with some ??'s for you, and i told you i wanted 3 total. but after looking at the pictures again, i might have to change my order, but i'm sure we'll be in touch. Thanks for all your work, they turned out great! Quote Link to comment
+dougsmiley
Thanks for the orders! Keep them coming in. If more than 1,000 trackables are ordered, we can use IN instead of PC as the code prefix. Quote Link to comment
Neos2
Getting ready to place our order. Are we close to the 1000 yet? That might influence how many I order. Quote Link to comment
steedaq155
Whoops... I found the answer to my question!! These look nice, maybe you can make a Florida one Edited August 23, 2007 by steedaq155 Quote Link to comment
Neos2
Whoops... I found the answer to my question!! These look nice, maybe you can make a Florida one I helped with the Indiana coin design. I don't want to make a Florida coin because I don't live there, but I'd be happy to help someone come up with the design if they want to do the coin. (I have lived in Florida twice in my life once as a young child and once as an adult, for a total of about 5 years, and I do love the state) Quote Link to comment
steedaq155
There's a couple of florida coins circulating that I have seen. Unfortunately, I was late to the punch in getting them -- especially considering I am new to buying coins. I wish I could make a FL coin, but I need to learn some more before I actully go ahead and do it. It does look like a nice coin (the Indiana one), good job on the design. I take it the front is the state flag? Edited August 24, 2007 by steedaq155 Quote Link to comment

I take it the front is the state flag? Well, we like to think of that side as the reverse (since the outline of the state is backward on that side), but yes, that is the state flag of Indiana. Ask around at events you go to --someone will no doubt have a spare FL coin they will sell you. Quote Link to comment

+markz68
Doug, did you have samples at the Fall Picnic? I forgot to check. Also, I can't remember if I have placed an order yet or not. Can you check? Quote Link to comment
Neos2
Hey Doug, How 'bout a note here for the masses? I guess you responded to the other notes privately, but there are several of us lurking near our mailboxes and making the postal carrier nervous. Any news about the coins? Quote Link to comment
+dougsmiley
Sorry about ignoring my own thread here - I don't really keep up on the geocoin forums. I sent an email for a status update this evening. All I know at this point is I paid for them at the start of the month and they should be coming in. You can stop watching your mailboxes - I'll post a reply when they actually get to me. I don't have an order for you mark. There are still about 70 surplus in each (Trackable & Resident). Feel free to continue ordering on the preorder page, I will sell them until those 140 are gone. Quote Link to comment

Thanks Doug, and my postal carrier thanks you, too. He was getting nervous, muttered something about loonies leaping out of their bushes yelling "Are they here yet?" every time he tried to drop off a bill. Quote Link to comment
+dougsmiley
Trackable coins arrived yesterday. I'll be shipping orders of just trackable coins as early as tomorrow. Those indiana residents who ordered resident coins will still have to wait a few days longer until those coins come in. Quote Link to comment

+dougsmiley
The trackable coins arrived friday, the residents arrived today. All of the orders are packed and ready to ship, I am going to take them in to the post office tomorrow but i'm not sure how many they can handle at once. I may or may not need to space out the shipping over a few days. Either way, it's time to start watching your mailbox! Also, the order page is back up. I've got plenty left, so if you would like to order some but missed the preorder, you can. Quote Link to comment
