I apologize for the lateness of my response; I had not noticed your post upon its initial publication, and learned of it this evening only after some concerned geocachers brought it to my attention. I am sorry to hear that polonium and plutonium are not easily found as trade items in geocaches in your area. Please be advised that there are ample amounts of each to be found in our about-to-be-published Radioactive Isotope Hotel cache and that smaller quantities of each are also sometimes available as trade items or just in the local environment at the final (nuclear reactor containment housing) stage of our Psycho Urban Cache #9 - Hot Glowing Tribulations cache. Unfortunately, however, both caches are located on the East Coast. Had I known you were looking for such materials as trade items, I would have brought some along with me on my recent 10-day research field trip to Arizona last month, where much of my time, in any case, was spent harvesting radioactive ores in the desert under the hot sun; I could have left some of the radioisotope material for you as a trade item in a Tempe or Tucson area cache. Sorry that I did not know of your interest sooner. Perhaps next time I may be able to assist. Edited July 19, 2007 by Vinny & Sue Team Quote

+wavector Posted July 19, 2007 Posted July 19, 2007 Not to editorialize but which Tarot deck is in the cache? I am asking because older decks look like elaborate playing cards whereas modern tarot decks do not. Modern tarot cards are pictorial and clearly not playing cards, they also contain instructions for "scrying". Older decks did not necessarily include instructions for scrying. It doesn't matter to me but some people might object to the instructions for "fortunetelling" that would be found with a modern tarot deck and have no objections to an older tarot deck. A subset of the Tarot became modern playing cards, the Knights and Pages were combined to create the Jacks and the 22 trumps were dropped from the deck, the resuting arrangement of 52 cards is still used today. Swords became Spades, Cups became Hearts, Wands became Clubs and Pentacles became Diamonds. Please remove local flora Quote

+Harry Dolphin Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 After due thought, and attempting to follow the rules, I suggest that the crayons, boxed, be removed. They melt and make a mess. I was going to suggest removing the bhagavad-gita, but I confused it with the Kama-Sutra. Can I leave my copy of the Kama Sutra? Being a word nerd, I do have to request that the prophylactics be returned to the cache. A prophylactic is anything that prevents disease, not just condoms. And it has not been determined that these prophylactics are, indeed condoms. Euphemisms are all well and good. Bug wipes qualify as prophylactics. (Does that mean that condoms are intended to prevent STDs, rather than pregnancy?!?) Oh, wait a minute. I was searching for a cache in the gates of a small city park, and found a Ziploc of condoms (with free AIDS test coupon.) Wrong gate, but I left them anyway. Definitely return the prophylactics to the cache. Quote
