k_statealan
What is your percentage of archived caches that you've found? There's an entry at the top of the cachestats window. I'm sitting at 10% (out of ~700) Wondering if this is high/low/about average. Quote Link to comment
TheAlabamaRambler
Of 2069 caches visited since August 2003 916 are archived for a 44% active/archived ratio. That's not accurate however, since of that 2096 caches 206 were Event Caches, 6 were CITOs and 5 were Mega Events, all of which will have a 100% archived rate. 57 were Virtuals, most of which were archived in the slaughter, so that further reduces accuracy in that they didn't die of natural causes. +Miragee
I'm not good at math, but there are 341 Archived caches out of the 2594 I have found . . . Quote Link to comment
3 Hawks
I'm not good at math, but there are 341 Archived caches out of the 2594 I have found . . . Thats 13.14572089%. Mine is about 4%. Quote Link to comment
Miragee
Out of those 341 Archived caches, 13 are Event, Mega Event, and CITO Event. Fifteen of the 341 are Locationless caches . . . So, I guess 28 caches should be deleted from the 341 number . . . Quote Link to comment
larryc43230
10.0% of my finds have been archived (82 out of 819). All 819 are actual (physical) caches. I started caching about 14 months ago. --Larry Edited June 16, 2007 by larryc43230 Quote Link to comment
Isonzo Karst
983 archived out of 2878 ~ 34% archived. 165 of those are locationless or events, obviously archived at 100%. I've only found 86 virtuals, and only 7 of those are currently archived. Quote Link to comment
scavok
17% None were event caches and the only virtuals I've done are still active. Quote Link to comment
Knight2000
Wondering if this is high/low/about average. I think that information is completely relative. If you did 500 caches in 2002- many would be archived. If you did 500 this year- many more would be active. So i am not sure on how you can compare others stats to yours. DNF's? I guess although similar situation with variables will affect things. Quote Link to comment
StarBrand
14% archived but that includes about 10 events. Quote Link to comment
Renegade Knight
Last time I looked it was about 30%. Maybe higher maybe lower but more than I expected. Quote Link to comment
9Key
About 35%. I would imagine this number is greatly influenced by the area you cache in and how long you've been geocaching. Quote Link to comment

This is an important point; I was thinking the same thing when I gave my stats in an earlier post in this thread (10% of my finds have been archived). I've only been caching a little more than a year; I expect that as time goes by, more of my finds will wind up being archived simply through attrition. --Larry Quote Link to comment
mudsneaker
80 (8%) out of 966 caches as of 6/14/07 - since Dec 31 05 I've seen that jump up and down alot over time due to how fast I'm knocking out caches, summer events, etc. edit:clarifying info Edited June 19, 2007 by mudsneaker Quote Link to comment
Jennifer&Dean
25% of our 1951 finds are archived now. We have been caching since summer 2002 so I would guess age has an affect. Maybe sometime I will break it down by year placed. -J Quote Link to comment
stepshep
2.3%, but that's out of the measly 44 caches I've found. Quote Link to comment
shearzone
17%, or 74 of my 421 finds since 2004 have been archived Quote Link to comment
Thrak
12% or 123 out of 967 finds. That would include 8 event caches. I notice it doesn't round up since 123/967 is actually 12.7% If you deduct the 8 event caches from both totals you get 7% or 115 out of 959. Edited June 19, 2007 by Thrak Quote Link to comment
Harry Dolphin
I think that information is completely relative. If you did 500 caches in 2002- many would be archived. If you did 500 this year- many more would be active. Someone was asking for relevance? Or raw numbers? 1194 caches found. 324 archived. That's 27%. Includes 9 events, and 84 locationless. I don't log temporary caches, they're not listed on this service. More curious are the 32 listed as 'temporarily unavailable. Three to five of them will probably be revived. The rest just seem to be waiting for the reviewer to archive them. Quote Link to comment
outdoorsaddix
5% of the ones i have found were archived, thats 3 out of 59 Quote Link to comment
Blaidd-Drwg
Of the 1710 caches I've found, which excludes event and locationless caches (14), 405 have been archived or about 23.7% Quote Link to comment
