+gazooks
This is not a complaint but just an observation. An Event Cache has been created recently and the owner has dropped 20 TB's and GC's into it...... the event is on July 29th !! Is it me or is that just a little too long to hold onto the bugs ?? +CrazyL200
They could all belong to the owner ? Quote Link to comment
+gazooks
Just did a quick check and the ones I checked do not belong to the cache owner. Quote Link to comment
+rutson
I'm far from whiter than white with respect to holding on to TBs too long, but PLANNING to keep hold of them for that amount of time does seem unfair on the owners. Quote Link to comment

In that case not fair, unless the owmers permission has been obtained. If one we're mine, I'd get quite annoyed Maybe drop the event owner a note reminding them of the 2 week guidline ? +CrazyL200
Out of 25 travellers in the cache, 2 belong to the owner, all the others belong to 23 other people. I'm sure there'll be a good reason Maybe he's collected so many, the cache is just being used to "hold" them, but the mileages will now be wrong. Quote Link to comment
+Jimblonduk
Phew, just checked the TB's n Coins and none of em are mine Quote Link to comment
+Boardslider
I've only ever found 28 TB's so I suppose attending that meet could up my count, BUT how long has it taken to collect all those and then to plan to hold them for 4 or more months is just plain wrong. These are supposed to be TRAVEL bugs, keep 'em moving or don't take 'em! Quote Link to comment
+Us 4 and Jess
I can't even find a meet for July 29th Are any of my TB's in there? I have had the odd warning at the side of my page for holding onto bugs for more than 2 weeks, but I think 4 months is pushing it a bit too far M Edited March 30, 2007 by Us 4 and Jess Quote Link to comment
+Jimblonduk
I think it might be this one... GC115TY Quote Link to comment
+Mr'D
Phew, just checked the TB's n Coins and none of em are mine Echo... thank goodness. I must admit I'd be a little disappointed if any of my TB's were held for so long Quote Link to comment
+Us 4 and Jess
I think it might be this one... GC115TY Thanks for that None of mine either, but how many more travellers will they pick up over the next 4 months and drop into their meet There are 2 or 3 names I recognise that might not be too happy M Edited March 30, 2007 by Us 4 and Jess Quote Link to comment

I'm sure there'll be a good reason Just a guess but it looks to me like the event organiser has been hoarding travel bugs and geocoins (he has had some of them since last November) to boost the attendance at his event. If that is the case its pretty pathetic. If not of course, I will unreservedly apologise right now. Quote Link to comment
+Dorsetgal & GeoDog
Just checked, none of mine there either. I'd be pretty annoyed if they did that to any of my Tbs or coins without asking me. This is this cachers first event, do you think it is a genuine oversight? Maybe someone might alert them to this thread? 4 months is ridiculous. Quote Link to comment
+walkergeoff and wife
I have put three in the Binfield Cache Bash (May 28th), the main reason being that I wanted to add mileage from where I collected them to home, before I go off up to Blackpool over Easter. So, guilty, but not guilty, if you see what I mean? Edited March 30, 2007 by walkergeoff Quote Link to comment
SlytherinAlex
4 months is ridiculous. It's almost as bad as picking up TBs at an event then losing them for three months. Something I'd NEVER do. Quote Link to comment

+Haggis Hunter
The waypoint code has been advertised so here is a link to the TB listing for the event. I'm pleased none of mine are on there, but a few members of this forum have TB's listed. I suppose it's up to the individual to say something though? Quote Link to comment
+Papakas
My TB Bond Street Confusion is on the list. Am I bovvered? Is this the face of concern? TBs, caches, geocoins? Me bovvered? Events, forums? Bovvered, me, bovvered? I ain't bovvered! Good luck with the event. Might even attend, if I can be bovvered! Quote Link to comment

My coin has been placed in a cache today... and retrieved again by a different cacher so the answer to your question is .... Probably, Yes Quote Link to comment
