mongoose39uk
Having spoken to a few of the newer cachers around the Manchester area I was wondering if it was about time for another North West meet. Chuddy has expressed that he would like to meet some other cachers though I know he has met at least one other apart from myself (twice). Gary (Inukshuk) did an excellent job of organising the last one, but he is away up to Scotland soon to get some education. So any suggestions (clean one's please ) welcomed and more importantly any volunteers to organise it? Cheers Tony Quote Link to comment
Inukshuk and Arwen
I'd love to organise another (perhaps the left foot this time!) but as i'm gonna be up in Scotland most of the time shortly i'd perhaps better leave it to someone more local unless y'all can wait til christmas? Anyhow, I reckon its Pengy and Tigger's turn! how bout it u2? best regards inuk Quote Link to comment

Seasider
Well, how about meeting where we met for our "Farewell to Summer" meet last year? Hare & Hounds pub, Werneth Low, Hyde N 53° 25.842 W 002° 03.875 Farewell To Summer It is a superb venue and was enjoyed by all last year. It is the venue where we northerners met the Great Eckington for the first time and of course Cave Troll & Joan made their first public appearance!! Hyde is near Stockport so is central for a great many in the North, Midlands and Wales as well. Right, that's the venue sorted now how about the date? What about the weekend of 16/17 or 23/24 October? Sat 23rd October you reckon? Right sorted - I'll post the event cache (when we've all decided)!! Cheers! Seasider Quote Link to comment

John Stead
What's this - Seasider come out from under the burden of Work?!! I'd back the Hare and Hounds again but while I rushed over mid session of a Rotary conference last year, I'm not so sure I could do it this time as Llandudno is a bit further than Southport. I could make the 16/17th though. Quote Link to comment
Pharisee
I recon I can make that Quote Link to comment
DomHeknows
sounds good to me too. I was gutted to miss that one - I did have an excuse - I had just purchased my gps in the states and was still there but was looking forward to meeting some of the other weird caching types :-) I've met some/most of them since, I even work with 2 of them! Looking forward to it Quote Link to comment
Belplasca
Hmm, might be able to get there for that - it's not much further than Exeter! Now, how many counties between London and Stockport? Bob Aldridge Quote Link to comment

Papakas
Woh, hold your horses everyone, I've got an idea! I've got an unusual multi planned for the Lymm area. This could be launched in conjunction with this event meeting. If someone would be willing to take control of the event I'll work with you and also finish setting up the cache. I'm in the area this weekend if you would like to meet up in Lymm and recce a suitable PH? Quote Link to comment

John NW
Any chance of a Sunday rather than a Saturday? As some of us have to work on Saturdays Quote Link to comment
mongoose39uk
Any chance of a Sunday rather than a Saturday? As some of us have to work on Saturdays The day may be dictated by the availability of the venue. We have visited the potential venue and checked that it's Cask (note to Seasider- two guest ales). Good food, just got to check with the Landlord then we should be away. Cheers Tony Quote Link to comment
RoswellJam
Count me in. Was really gutted to miss the last one at the Lord Raglan. Hare and Hounds is really near for me so would be better than Lymm but can make it pretty much anywhere really. Quote Link to comment

mongoose39uk
Hi all, I have now spoken to the Landlady at the Church Green Hotel in Lymm, Cheshire. They are happy to set asside an area of the pub from 1.30 on the 16th of October. So subject to our wonderfull reviewers approval (creep, creep) it looks like we have a go. Thanks to Pyoung1s and Lizzardman for helping with the very hard task of cheking the suitability of the venue on Saturday Night. Cheers Tony Quote Link to comment
Papakas
I recommend the Steak & Ale Pie. Yum, yum, delicious! I'm cracking on with my multi covering the whole of the Lymm Dam park area so hands off you lot! That should keep everyone occupied for a hour or so on the day. (Notice the use of the word occupied, not necessarily amused!) Anyone else want to set up some regular caches in the area? Please co-ordinate with Tony. Quote Link to comment

Puppy Galore
Thanks to Tony for the rapid supply of Anita's number at the pub. In case anyone else is interested in the dog-friendliness issue, the answer I got from her was that my medium sized, well behaved dog would be perfectly welcome So, all being well, I should see some of you fine people there Quote Link to comment
lizzardman
Hope to have my new series of caches - 'Saints and Sinners' ready for the day! Mind you, they're not all local to the area, so it'll be interesting to see who gets there first? My money's on Cave Troll and Joan or Pengy and Tigger! Quote Link to comment
