First you'll need to upload an image to your web page.

Then on the edit page, you'll need to check the box that reads "The descriptions below are in HTML"

Then in the Long Description, use the following html:

<IMG SRC="http://web address of the picture you uploaded.JPG" WIDTH=200 HEIGHT=200 BORDER=0>

The width and height can be changed by entering a different number than 200 shown in the above example.

I'm glad Goldfinger asked the question, very timely considering I have a few caches I am about to submit that need photos. I understand just about everything you said except the Width, Height and Border What are the numbers? Do they change? If so, do I change them or are they automatically sized?

I'd recommend experimenting with the numbers. The larger the number, the larger the picture will be on your cache page. Start with the 200 size and see how it looks. If the picture seems too small, go back and edit your page and try a larger number, like 300.

I noticed that there are four caches up the Entiat Valley road. I was thinking of heading over with my wife and heading up to score those four caches as well as take in some sights. However I noticed that none of the caches have yet been found this spring!

What conditions should I expect? Am I too early and should I wait a few weeks? What about a side trip over to 25 Mile Creek and Lake Chelan while up there?

I was within a few miles of a couple of the caches on the Entiat this weekend. I couldn't get to the couple that I haven't done, because we were in a time crunch. Anyway, the spot that I was at was well into spring. Trees were all leafed out, etc. I think that you should be all right.

The Barnabirdy(s) finally got to attack the Mission Ridge caches for two fairly exhausting days. We did get a good handle on the area although a few still were snowed in so we get to try again in a month or so. FTF on ccmin's "You are here" and first for the season on most of the others. Check out Ms Birdy's pictures at Almost on top of the World and Four Corners. And thanks for all the hides up there.

A big amen to the battered. We just did those caches yesterday so Ambrosia could celebrate her 300 catch on Kboy's "Almost the Top of the World" cache. We then went on to try to find South Fork Surprize to find it missing. So beings it was such a long ride and we drove on some roads this granny was uncomfortable driving on. KBoy hid another cache called Double Dog Dare. It has a nice view of the distant Palisades area. So look for that one coming up, and we Double Dog Dare ya all to go find it. :bad: CONGRATULATIONS to Ambrosia on find #300. ~ Patudles

Congratulations Ambrosia on #300 and thanks for the recent hides. I'm just waiting on the water to go down on Just Because and for the cache at A view from the Castle to roll all the way down the hill so I can go pick it up. :bad:

Yes kudos on the #300. It can be difficult when you have a spouse that isnt quite as thrilled about caching as you are. Ah, well mother-in-laws that like to cache can help relieve that huh?

I don't know if any of the original batch of Yellow Jeep TB's made it to the Wenatchee area. Jeeps like mountains so one of them has made it to the Old Blewett Pass cache.

It's Up

I finally got the cache hid and the page up from the Cach-cadian event. I know it took me awhile. Sorry about that. Maybe next time we can get someone else to volunteer for that duty.

Now for the next cache event!

Let me know who all is interested in a whitewater rafting event down the Wenatchee River. I need to plan this asap because rafting time is limited so is amount of people who we can fit in. There will be a small charge for this event to pay for the equipment needed but there will be new caches put out for this event also. So let me know soon if you want to participate in this. Because of room we need to limit it to adults only. Thanks ~ Patudles

I don't know about you two. Mrs. Barnabirdy would have the caches all found before I even get out of the boat. She has a reputation you know. Do you vote for Friday or Sunday? We have one vote for Sunday but he is flexable and could go Friday.

In case you haven't read the other thread on this one it is Friday, July 2 or Sunday July 4.

What a day!

Went out and was FTF on three caches today. Found an old one that had been bugging me to find. Waited for a hot day to do it 100 degrees plus where that cache is. Whew! Two of the new caches were by newbies, Kache, Kit and Kaboodle. Welcome to the Cache-cadians! The new caches are great. Both good spots and hides. Then to top the day off I drove by a brush fire just starting to take off. No one was around so I called 911. Thought I was real smart when I offered to give them the waypoints to the fire. But they weren't interested in them. Can you imagine that? :blink:

Just got back from another week in Brazil. I see there are a few more caches hidden in the Wenatchee area since I left. ( <_<

If anyone is interested in seeing pictures of my trip to Iguacu Falls in Brazil, see my log at Iguaçu (Tres Fronteiras). Brazil is the third largest country in the world, but they have only 50 caches. This cache is located at the intersecting borders of 3 countries (Brazil, Paraguay, and Argentina). Iguacu Falls is over 2 miles long from one end to the other. I was also fortunate to see several Toucan flying overhead as we made our way upriver toward the falls.

A big welcome to our new cachers in the valley. Kache, Kit & Kaboodle already have 8 new caches out there for us to find. I have found all but one. (I better go look for it.) They are all excellent hides. Mr. KK&K seems to have a knack for cleverness on his hides. Hikerguy also has a new cache out I need to go look for. Tried once but the sprinklers were on and I haven't been back yet. Welcome to the Cache-cadians.

I know they'll pass me....it's just a matter of time. Here's why I know:

On January 1 of this year, I had 387 more Finds than they did. At this moment I have 168 Finds more than they. That's a gain of 219 Finds on me this year so far.

Presently I have 894 Finds, Barnabirdy has 726 finds. At their rate, they will pass me very soon.

Oh to be retired.

What is this rash of purple faces I am seeing. I have had 3 out of my last 4 searches end up DNF. Thank-you Navigatorz for putting one out to soothe my ego on. To top it off one of the caches is by a newbie and it is his first hide. I am having problems sleeping at night with all this going on. All I do is dream of finding those caches. But when I wake up notta. I thought things were supposed to get better when you wake up, not worse. Where are the Barnabirdy(s) to come to our rescue and find these caches for us. Or how about you Subie21, where are you! Isha'n'Isha you are needed! This is a call out for help for all Cache-cadians to help solve these mysteries. Where are you?

Where are the Barnabirdy(s)??? In Olympia to get away from a R&B festival at home (and run into the Lakefest there). While there we heard from local cachers that a cache machine was planned for Wenatchee in September. Has anyone heard of this? We thought it was to be next year.

A little? But yes, too much fun. How could we not. A must do again, only with MORE people. I've already got my eye on A Beautiful View and Elk View as #299 & 300!

Congratulations to Robinego on Find #200 yesterday, and she blew right past it to 215. Just 85 more to 300.

I plan on that happening in about a month. Then with a few hints dropped in the course of a few months, I'll start talking about how a new GPSr would make me really happy. And we all know if mama aint happy, aint nobody happy....

I've already got my eye on A Beautiful View and Elk View as #299 & 300!

Good choices Robinego. A Beautiful View was #599 and Elk View was #600 for us on our 1 year anniversary. Awesome caches with awesome views. Elk View

For our 1000th, we're thinking of doing DEW Line, by Barnabirdy's. This cache is located at the highest driveable road in the state of Washington on Slate Peak in the North Cascades, Elev. 7440 ft.

Isn't geocaching fun!!

The DEW LINE cache seems like a great one to do from reading the logs plus it is way up and best of all no gpser bouncing around !!! Does any one know what is the most visited cache in washington ??? Also I heard the first one was located around MT Saint Helens, just wondering if any body knows anything about these catches..........

I think the first cache was hidden by Dave Ulmer in the Portland area in May of 2000. Here's an article in Today's Cacher that gives some of the history of that first "stash" as he called it.

I'm not sure about the most visited cache. Probably one in the Seattle area.
