Ben Pid
Have just been using something that I got out of a cache and thought to myself how great and useful it is... poses to me the question.. What is the best thing you have traded/taken from a cache? most useful item....or favourite thing... For me it has to be the Screwdriver set I got from Horent's cache in North Marston....absolutly brilliant!! I use it everyday at work and just generally find it wicked!!! -------------------------------------------------------- www.pidster.co.uk www.pidster.co.uk Quote Link to comment
+Lost in Space
A screwdriver!! Surely that is far too dangerous to be put into a cache!!! Quote Link to comment
+makerofthingsup
For me it has to be the 9mm Baretta complete with silencer that I found in "Death To Them All" by The Reaper Manufacturer of the finest sense for over half an hourian.currie9.users.btopenworld.com/animation.gif [img/] Quote Link to comment
+Seasider
A torch from... 'Oops!' said Booshka! ... didn't actually take it (had remembered mine for once!) but others will find it useful as the nights draw in. +stu_and_sarah
A miniature carabiner(sp?) from "Take A Trip" in Nottingham. I have it on my keys, and can now attach them to anything I have to remember to take out with me. ...and attach them to me when I'm in perilous situations where I might lose them. +Flackadder
Best thing out of cache for me is a 'Optical Mouse'. Found in 'Clumping around (Oxfordshire). I use it everyday, now infact!!! +The Merman
The best things for me are those little personal items that people go to a lot of trouble to make, I am getting quite a collection of cards keyrings and badges. I think my absolute best find though was Lassitudes Hidden Treasures III cd I woke this morning and my boat was not rocking...for one horrid moment I thought I lived in a house! Quote Link to comment
Seifer
Hmmmm, the penknife and 37.5% drink that we found in a cache in Germany Mike www.ChallengeUltima.co.uk - Rise to the Challenge...C'mon, you know you want to! Quote Link to comment
+Pharisee
A laser pointer that Hornet left in a cache shortly before I got to it. My cat goes absolutely 'ape' trying to catch the red spot on the carpet, but never does, of course. Hours of fun John And should you ask, am I at ease there? I'd answer "Yes. Oh yes indeed". For my heart it dwells in lonely places, where springs leap down, where ravens feed. Quote Link to comment

+The Hornet
I found a very nice multi-tool penknife once which goes everywhere with me. I can also recall a very long hot trek to another cache and found a can of coke in it - an absolute godsend. Looking at previous entries it seems people's favourite things probably wouldn't be allowed now. Ah happy innocent days I must be getting old because I'm sure fireworks were much more fun years ago. Bangers that went BANG! rather than phutt. Jumping crackers to frighten the girls with, aerial bombs, bangers tied to rockets. Ah memories. Or maybe I was just a little hooligan. +Travers
I found a xxxxxxxx in one cache which I now always carry in my pocket, it's a useful tool for people who have to open bales of hay on a regular basis. I also appreciated the xxxx left for the FTF on another cache. Quote Link to comment
+Meriadoc
I also found a xxxxxxxx in one cache which I now sometimes carry in my pocket. Those xxxxxxxxs are really useful. To quote Dr. Hibbert of Springfield, "Don't thank me - thank the xxxxxxxx!" Of course xxxxxxxxs can only be enjoyed by trained induhviduals. Quote Link to comment

+Chris n Maria
The best things we have found were: A set of watchmakers screwdrivers from one of Brad & colettas caches. An O/S romer from from the SP series caches. And a bottle of Marias favourite perfume from "To Kill a King" Chris If only life had an undo button.... +NattyBooshka
We found one of those carabiner keyring whatsits, and almost bought another... luckily we didn't as we found another in a cache a few weeks later. We now have one each and use them daily... like being able to add and remove rings of keys easily as it means we don't have to cart all of our keys around everytime we go out. Cheers, Emily & Neil Quote Link to comment
+John Stead
These snap on keyrings are great but do be careful that they closed properly as years ago mine unclipped and my car keys are now soemwhere under the M53! +Naefearjustbeer
I think the best thing I have found was a Silva head torch which I removed from one of my caches as it was threatening to burst open. I then placed it in the next cache that I hid as it was a bigger box with more room for big items. I think it was worth about £20 and the person that found it in my cache was delighted and uses it regularily. AUT PAX AUT BELLUM Quote Link to comment

+Nottrikk
Best things out of a cache. Bottle opener from Waterpark walkabout (that little opener's seen more use since I got it than it's probably seen in it's whole life!) Caribener (I just know that's spelt wrong) from Lyme Boss Challenge (it's a full size locking one and it now keeps my GPSr firmly attached to my goody bag via the lanyard. And I'm sure that the 2004 diary that I got from Above the mine will come in handy next year. Mark S. Team Nottrikk Quote Link to comment
