NJSquirrel
I was caching yesterday and on the way back to my car I decided to take a pic of the nearby creek. As I stepped off the trail, I accidentally stumbled upon a nesting duck. The duck scared the beejeebers outta me Anyway, he left behind an even better pic to post in my log. Duck eggs! 1 Quote Link to comment
Ambrosia
That's so cool. I've never seen duck eggs in the wild. That reminds me - when I was younger, we lived for a while at a place that had a pond. We had a couple White Pekin ducks for eggs (sigh, I miss duck eggs). They bred with wild Mallards that came in to enjoy our pond. We had a bunch of duck mutts running around after that. They were quite attached to us, more so than the White Pekins, probably because they were handled by us right out of the eggs. Quote Link to comment
Harry Dolphin
Cindy Bear. She lives in the NWCDC. That's as close as I was getting! 1 2 Quote Link to comment
geodarts
The most interesting picture I might have taken was when my daughter and I rounded a bend in the trail and there were two rattlesnakes, staring at each other and trying to see which one would be the tallest. It might have been the only time I have been hiking or caching without some kind of camera. But Moose (as we were on the way to an earthcache) or Tule Elk (a locationless cache for me back in the day) are always photogenic. Edited May 1, 2014 by geodarts 1 Quote Link to comment

Ambrosia
Found these lounging seals while boating early in the morning on the puget sound. I like the lighting, because the town had been completely obscured by grey fog before taking this picture. The sun is casting a warm color on the buoy, and just starting to burn off the fog, leaving the city almost colorless. Puget Sound Quote Link to comment
