stevens family
This has most likely been covered before , but as im new to this im sure i am forgiven. Which areas of the uk have the most caches in one series? I noticed in north devon a set of 100 + When you see 1000+ in America you would soon get your no`s up , but would most likely get a bit bored and tired. Quote Link to comment
The Blorenges
I don't know which is the longest... somebody else will chime in soon... "Skeg to Ness" has 207 caches. Any advance on that? MrsB Quote Link to comment
keehotee
Do you mean series, or trail? I suspect the longest series is possibly Sidetracked, or maybe Church Micro... As for trails - sorry, can't help you - but MrsB's answer's probably the right one Good luck - and have fun with whatever you find Edited February 24, 2011 by keehotee Quote Link to comment
CnJnA
What about the WWW Legend caches? around 600... and a suggested time of 65 hrs to complete? I think I would need 65 weeks...... Quote Link to comment
LinseyG
Probably not the longest by todays "standards" but the Chiltern 100 is very well done (http://www.chilternhundred.drsolly.com/) - the challenge is to do the whole thing in a day (at least that's how we did it - far too easy otherwise ;-0) LinseyG Quote Link to comment
HazelS
What about the WWW Legend caches? around 600... and a suggested time of 65 hrs to complete? I think I would need 65 weeks...... Legend is a series, not a trail - it's actually several circular walks joined together, so not strictly a trail.... Quote Link to comment
L E G E N D
L E G E N D (WWW) is a circular looping trail, in the vein of Way Out West, Chiltern 100, UK Mega - all these are doable theoretically in one go, with little need to cover old ground. Whilst plotting in my stone tower, I decided to break them up into named chunks so that mere mortals could comprehend the outrageous might of the task at hand Edited February 25, 2011 by L E G E N D Quote Link to comment
Flyfishermanbob
If 97 miles qualifies , then this one might fit the bill http://www.geocaching.com/bookmarks/view.aspx?guid=553564e3-4e7d-486f-bb64-5141523e710b Slainte FFB Quote Link to comment
Skittler
I know that the 'UK Mega Series' in North Hampshire has 126 caches. The nearby UK Mega Series 2 has 56. I will probably never attempt it though as I can't see the point of just 'getting your numbers up' - it doesn't prove anything and it's probably not much fun doing those US power trails and finding your 375th telegraph pole cache of the day I took three and a half hours to find a single multi-stage cache on Thursday (therefore adding 1 to my numbers) and I got far more enjoyment out of that! There is an excellent web page here which lists UK cache trails/series and should answer any questions such as this. http://www.geocachetrails.com/ Quote Link to comment
Cornell Finch
In defence of the mega, it's actually some great walking in beautiful countryside (if you can ignore RAF Odiham!) Fairly easy to do in segments if you don't want to do the lot at once. Quote Link to comment
martlakes
A slightly different answer to your Q is the Little Quest series. Not as many caches as some, but it entails finding a cache in each county of England, so a fair bit of travel! http://coord.info/GC154N9 Quote Link to comment

You're absolutely right that the Alton/Odiham countryside has a lot more going for it than a couple of hundred miles of Nevada desert road Quote Link to comment
Mark+Karen
For a series then probably "Motorway Madness" or "Off Your Trolley" but the reality is that they are different caches placed by many different people that just happen to have been given the same name. Quote Link to comment
Jonovich
The Rutland Round is a very pleasant 124 caches wandering around the countries smallest county. Jon. Quote Link to comment

Us 4 and Jess
There's a new series of 100 caches in Durham I heard about..... Quote Link to comment
thehalibutkid
I'll toss the Ouse Valley Way mile marker series into the hat. Only 88 caches so far but they stretch along the entire Ouse valley way (150 miles). Quote Link to comment
Deepdiggingmole
I am aware of the Motorway and sidetracked series as I have added to each of those in my SOS (Series of series) series - however do either of them add up to over 1500 in number - I am not sure - but I do know that the church micro series which is mainly in the South East but has spread further does have over 1500 and each are sequentially numbered Quote Link to comment
