+Xantos10
Anyone try this release yet? Quote Link to comment
+Wintonian
First release for a while that might help me i.e. compass shame still no EGNOS fix, rarely have one and it has lasted a max of 15 min not even able to get one on a cliff top on the sout coast with fields behind me, but accrucy is still sometimes spot on and normaly fairly close with v3.10 a far cry from the time when it would often be 200- 300 ft off. Is this a good release cause I want to try it - hope so compass has been driving me mad. Edited September 3, 2009 by Wintonian Quote Link to comment
+pklong911
A little confused, this is different from the beta software correct? How does it compare to the latest beta then? Quote Link to comment
+Low Bat
I'm still amazed we still get updates so frequently. I think I plug in my Oregon 300 three times more often for software updates than I do for updated pocket queries. Now that track logs are good I was hoping the Garmin team would be tackling the WAAS issue. Quote Link to comment
+g-o-cashers
This release looks the same as 3.15 to me with the exception of some minor cosmetic changes to the compass page and the rotation is a little smoother like the x50 and Dakota. Track logs and accuracy are similar to 3.15 (which is good!) Quote Link to comment

wahoowad
I applied it to my Oregon 300, but this is a brand new unit to me so I am unfamiliar with most of the issues the rest of you are looking to see addressed. All I can say is my unit accepted the update and worked when I turned it on again. Quote Link to comment

Haitoman
Had my first ever crash after loading but eventually I got it working. I do believe that the touch screen is less sensitive than 3.15b. I did a screen recalibrate and the touch sensitivity was all normal so it is not hardware. I just seem to need to push harder to activate buttons - the map scrolling is ok...anyone else notice this? Quote Link to comment
+kentwoodkrew
I think the compass is a little less touchy. Less swinging about. No improvement with waas. A venture hc, pn-20, and an explorist xl get the satellites easily but not my 400t Quote Link to comment
+tomwilson74
How do I download this to my Oregon 400t? Quote Link to comment
+allory
Follow the link in the first post, then follow the link to the WebUpdater. Download it and use it. Quote Link to comment
+tomwilson74
Download it to the GPS or my computer? Quote Link to comment
+2Wheel'in
Download it to the GPS or my computer? Place Garmin's WebUpdater on your computer, connect your 400t to your computer as a mass storage device, run the WebUpdater and it will download software Ver 3.20 and install it on your 400t. Safely remove (eject) your 400t from your computer, turn the 400t back on and it will validate and run Ver. 3.20. That's it! Bill Quote Link to comment
+tomwilson74
I'm doing something wrong, can you explain it in a little more detail for someone who is not a whiz with computers? Also, will this update work on an Oregon 200? Quote Link to comment
+sduck
You should probably add (x00 models) to the title of this thread - the x50 models are on a different version number. Although I got a nice shiny new firmware for my 550t just the other day also! Edited September 8, 2009 by sduck Quote Link to comment

Also, will this update work on an Oregon 200? Go to garmin.com and download a piece of software called webupdater. Install it on your PC. Now connect your Garmin as usual then run webupdater. It will find your unit and download then install the latest software for it. When finished, disconnect unit and turn it on...software update will be installed. Quote Link to comment

+Low Bat
Only 19 posts and than nothing for 9 days. Amazing how quiet this latest software thread is. Hasn't anyone found anymore bugs, or is 3.20 really that good? Edited September 18, 2009 by Low Bat Quote Link to comment
or-tracker
Tried walking with Oregon 300 (FW 3.20) and 60csx under dense tree cover about 5km (WAAS off). 60csx track seems as usualy accurate and maximum difference between tracks in one place reaches 40m. Seems that pointer of Oregon 300 is lagging from the pointer 60csx most of the time and freezes staying away when stopping. It's only my own observations and I need more exhaustive analysis between two devices at low speed under dense tree cover. Edited September 18, 2009 by or-tracker Quote Link to comment
+SilentWolf
I have nothing to compare it to, but I loaded 3.20 into my 300 the day I got it - I've been using it for 3 weeks or so now, no glitches whatsoever. (That I'm aware of that is - still not familiar with every aspect of the unit) Quote Link to comment
+binzi
I installed 3.2 on the first day it came out. Works quite nicely for me. Accuracy is also very good. There are still some minor issues which, however, have already been present in earlier versions. I'd definitely recommend 3.2 right now. Quote Link to comment

+Jeep4two
Went out with 3.20 today. Didn't see any real difference from it and 3.15beta. Accuracy was spot on. I haven't looked at any tracklogs so I can't speak to that. Compass Arrow was OK. Fairly responsive but still lagging a bit. It's the best so far but could still use some refinement.
