knowschad
Who really cares if there are 20 threads of locations, or cache containers, or sizes, or whatever. Do extra threads use extra bandwidth? Yes, while Kit Fox is doing his searches and posting his links to all those previous topics. Quote Link to comment

Here is my vision of an event cache: There I am 2,777th from the bottom going L to R or 2,333 from the top going R to L. Edited July 10, 2009 by Snoogans Quote Link to comment
knowschad
First, I must say that not a one of these posts is a "vision". They are all photographs of an actual cache. Nothing visionary about them. But still, its a good thread, so I will upload a few "visions" that I experienced today. These were all taken at various caches near Osceola, WI Another shot from behind the water A view of the St Croix National Scenic River from Nectar of the Gods Butternut Falls. This was a short distance away from the cache. [ Quote Link to comment

+ohgr
The perfect cache or cache location is anywhere you find a cache, and have two little faces looking up at you smiling as they go through the box and look at all the goodies as they hand you the log to sign. Quote Link to comment
+The Leprechauns
Why, that's easy. A geocache location should look like a Lion. Lion's Head, Dolly Sods Wilderness, West Virginia Quote Link to comment
+The Leprechauns
But, a cache owned by The Leprechauns ought to look Irish, right? Took nothing, left rainbow during an owner maintenance visit at The Elves are Easily Overlooked, Pittsburgh, PA Quote Link to comment
+Bubbles&Bonkers
LOVE LOVE LOVE ALL the photos!! I am truly in awe of this beautiful country and world. I notice there are posts from all different states and it's amazing how much beauty there is all over. I'm ready to move back to Northern California (I wish), but am currently stuck in the urban sprawl of So FL. Thanks for letting me live vicariously through ALL of your gorgeous photos (except maybe that snake photo). Quote Link to comment

+Geo_Raptor
A couple of my cache areas: Could you post the GC #s for those caches? Sure: GC15BRE GC1R9V0 GC1QJ3F I actually visited Cascade Falls (GC15BRE) back in Oct 09 and to this date it is one of my favourite locations with a cache. I am heading to Christina Lake, later this month - are there any new good cache locations out there? Quote Link to comment
+BajaBekka
The perfect cache or cache location is anywhere you find a cache, and have two little faces looking up at you smiling as they go through the box and look at all the goodies as they hand you the log to sign. Now that makes perfect sense. Isn't this whole "sport" kind of personal adventure anyway? I mean the basic "noodles" are there but the flavorings are added by individuals to create the fun, suspense, frustration, etc. and it's all shared by others. I'm heading your direction tomorrow, Oghr!!! Silverwood Lake -- hoping to find my FIRST cache and placing two of my own. Allow me to climb down off my soapbox now. Quote Link to comment

+geodarts
There are two many visions of what a geocache location should look like. My vision of a container is similar to the ammo boxes other have posted. But some of these caches come to mind. In fact, in two of the examples, the location is the cache One Giant Step Bank of Colorado Tufa Towers Quote Link to comment

knowschad
I hit an important milestone yesterday at this grand cache: This bit of stonework was at the base of the bluff that we were to climb My friend Louie climbing up the "Stone Staircase" looking for Stage #1 That's me, evaluating one of the spots that I suspected the final would be in. That's me again, this time climbing down after finding the cache. Quote Link to comment
+geodarts
The thing that keeps me in the game is all the great caches and locations like those posted. One of my favorite caching experiences was a hike through the back country - with streams, green meadows, wild flowers, and a climb up volcanic palisades to a narrow ledge with a view that is not done justice in any of my photos. But at the risk of abusing this thread, one more of friends signing the log at Long John Silver Edited August 20, 2010 by mulvaney Quote Link to comment

Brilliant! The neatest thing I've found around here is a bunch of old tin cans. I think I have to travel farther. The train was a prop for a movie that was filmed in that area.
