BROOKLYN, MI -- There's just one more day to see the American Veterans Traveling Tribute Wall for yourself. It is on display until Sunday at Michigan International Speeday in Brooklyn, Michigan. According to their website, MIS Director of Government and Community Relations Alisha Cottrell says, “We’re excited and proud to have the American Veterans Traveling Tribute Wall on display here at MIS. This is a wonderful opportunity for people to visit and pay respect to those who served and lost their lives fighting for the United States of America.”

The wall stands eight feet tall at its apex and spans 370 feet in length, which is approximately 80 percent the size of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. It was escorted into town Tuesday and has been visited by hundreds of people over the week. A special blood drive drew crowds on September 11th. The Tribute Wall will be on display during the Spirit of America Blood Drive, also scheduled for Sept. 11.

Admission for the American Veterans Traveling Tribute Wall is free.

No interest in these cointests?? Seems we only get a few people participating here, very disapointing indeed! I don't have a lot to give and really wish I could offer better prizes everyone, but at least we're getting coins released into the wild!

We're getting close, we all know where this happened and who were in the parade...and we're really close to the number I was told!! If no one guesses the correct answer by this evening when I return from work, I'll random pick the winner!

THANKS to those who have been watching this thread and THANKS for the help in spreading bike awareness!! Still plenty of time to get involved in this, we've got a month left! Please get your coins ready!!!!!

Wow! Thank you very much. I'm looking forward to releasing my first coins.

Also, this was really interesting cointest - I never knew there was a Vietnam Moving Wall. Might have to make a trip to see the real Wall soon.

Perfect job Gatoulis, well done! I will be releasing this and all coins won today and recently very soon!!

eta: The coin is one of our 2008 Lazy Hayes Days coins. I don't have a picture, but it will be given one soon as it's going to the Geopigs after I drop it. She'll pamper the coin and give it all it's proper wares before moving it along!

You can look up the coin, a picture was on this forums at one time or another! :anibad:
