+StarBrand
Depends on how far from the car. For those within sight of the car a 1 gallon freezer Ziploc is my bag of choice. Cheap and replaceable. For slightly longer walks or light hiking, I have a largish fanny pack that can hold a bottle of water or two as well as my swag and a first aid kit and flashlight with the cache repair kit. And some weather dependant items. For longer walks/hikes in the country I have a nice daypack with all the gear I could want for an extended day away from everything. All in the Jeep for easy access. +pcunningham
I use an Eagle Creek Guide Bag. Quote Link to comment
+briansnat
All depends on the cache. For the many of my cache hunts I use the Mountainsmith Approach II. If it's just a short jaunt from the car I don't bring anything but the GPS and some swag in my pocket. If its something in between, I use the REI FLash UL. Its a small sack that can double as a daypack. Quote Link to comment

magellan315
For most average caches that don't involve any hiking I've the Molle Medical Bag works for me. Three seperate compartments that are to deep, so I don't have to fish around in the bag. Quote Link to comment

Donald, Daisy and Kids
those of you who carry a bag when you are out what works best to hold swag and what ever ? We dont carry a bag as such, we carry a small (10Litre) esky cooler. It makes it look like we are going for a picnic, not shopping and it also offers more rugged construction than a bag so nothing gets damaged. Quote Link to comment
+wesleykey
Some nuts thing you need a $75 pack or a $100 pack but I absolutely love my backpack I got from the school supplies section of Wal-Mart for $15. Quote Link to comment
+randyinaloha
Started out with a cloth bag made out of an old pants leg with a long handle to go over shoulder. Graduated to a $1 sports bag for all, (cell phone, Ham radio, food & drink), and when out of vehicle on short walk, use the leg bag. I do put batteries, pens, swag etc. in seperate ziplocks. +Icyjane
I took a suggestion from an above poster and checked my local Goodwill store for a backpack.. Lo and behold I find a Camelbak for $2.99. It was still in the original packaging and the seal hadn't even been broken on the mouthpiece!! Holds 2 liters of water, many pockets for storage. I love it, thanks for the tip! Edited March 15, 2007 by Icyjane Quote Link to comment

+Lovey Pigs
one of my sons old backpacks works great, with separate zip locks for big vs. small items, etc... And speaking of Goodwill: I have bought several used Igloo 1/2 gallon water jugs and converted in to cache containers along with old thermos containers, only 99 cents each! Thank goodness for Goodwill! Quote Link to comment
+corynjay
We keep our swag in a ziplock bag. We keep the ziplock bag inside our backpack. It's easier to locate the swag in the ziplock instead of all over the inside of the backpack. Quote Link to comment
+Driver Carries Cache
For short trail hikes and just keeping my cache gear together I bought a Lumbar Pack from Mountainsmith. It holds two water bottles and has space for everything I need: first aid kit & pocket survival kit from Adventure Medical Kits, folding knife, leatherman, headlamp, flashlight, hemostats (for those hard to extract logs) extra batteries, and cache repair items. Can be worn "fanny pack style" or carried over the shoulder. I absolutely love it. When I start spending longer days on the trail for caching, I'll invest in a proper day pack.
