Ok,I have GSAK is there a link or a thread,to learn how to use it?

I am up grading my units from magellen,to garmin starting with a nuvi 260. What steps do I need to take to use this unit for driving directions to get me close to the cache? I will still use my explorist 500 for now,but I will soon get a vista HCX. I have been reading these fourms untill my eyes have started to wiggle.

Is it ok to go back to a cache,just to pick up aTB.There is one in my area that has not moved in over a year

I am still lost,I can hotsync other applications from palm desk top,but not gsak

How do I rename my pda?

I am not sure where to go for this question,but here I go when I try to hotsync from GSAK to cachmate on my laptop,it gets interrupted,but works fine on my desk top. I don't know what i have done different between the two,the lap top is newer so it has vista. I am at very confused it seems to not communicat with the laptop. I can export to my gpsr just fine.

when Igo to gps set up it does not give me usb selection only com.I added a serial to usb converter, could that be messing thing up?

What ? First i need to know how to hook up my hotsync cradle. i have no extra port other than usb. is there an adapter that goes from serial to usb ?

I am trying to go paperless my hotsync hooks up serial port. I have only one port on my pc and it is in use. what can i do to hook it up? i have plenty of usb ports can i get a adapter

Ok I have a palm comming any day what do i need to do to start using it with caching do I down load programs to my pc then to the palm then to the gps I am clueless

Ok I need help. When I down load waypoints to my geocache manager it replaces the ones i have already downloaded same thing happens when i upload to my gps 500le what am i doing wrong

went back today but failed will try again later now that i know to look around more

Hooray! found my first cache today,had a little trouble i was standing about 3ft from it and my gps would point me 13ft in the opposite direction and as soon as i took a step or two it would point me back about 13 ft is this normal ?
