  1. Try that link out for starters. It helped me alot. Download pq into cache magnet then export to ipod up to 333 caches. Cachemagnet is free software.
  2. Orrrrrrrrrr, perhaps only two of us could afford it so far.
  3. I have used a Camelbak Rim Runner for over a year and I couldn't ask for anything more. http://www.camelbak.com/index.cfm
  4. This new "feature" makes using the maps almost worthless in my opinion. I searched the Grand Rapids MI area and I get the blue splotches everywhere and then when i zoom into them there is one or two caches there because I have the hide my finds box checked. I agree with ALL the arguments listed so far against this feature. It sounds like the easiest way to solve the problem would be to be able to turn it on and off. To sum it all up, this new "feature" really pissed me off this morning when I saw the blob taking over instead of nice little green and yellow boxes.
  5. Caching in the snow is fun. However, foot prints have never helped me. If the footprints lead right to the cache it has always been easy to begin with and the tracks were no help. If its a tough hide there are tracks everywhere from everyone searching and they dont help since they lead no where specifically.
  6. I saw the second half of the video and I thought that it was very well done.
  7. Here is the cache in my front yard. My neighbor across the street loves to come over and give hints and watch the search. I also think that its fun to meet new cachers and have mini events in my front yard at times. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...96-1d511f819962
  8. I use a 2D cell 3 watt LED mag-lite once in a while. Its beam is highly adjustable and throws the light a long ways.as My favorite flashight is the Princeton-Tec EOS regulated 1 watt headlamp. It maintains 100% brightness for as long as possible then slowly tapers off. It was WAY worth the 40 bucks!!! http://www.princetontec.com/products/index...ype=1&use=0
  9. I have a 30 gig video ipod. How do i get a pq onto it? This would be so awesome if i could figure it out!!!
  10. Having worked for Muslims for over 20 years and having MANY friends who are Muslim, that one is pretty durned ignorant. That's not an opinion. That's a fact. Everyone knows that Islam is the religion of peace.
  11. I really like the FTF hunt!! Your not nuts for enjoying it so much. Not sure how many I have but its quite a few.
  12. There are no rules about logging a DNF on a cache that you tried to find and came up unsuccessful. It is, however a courtesy to the cache owner, and others thinking about searching for the cache to do so, especially if you have a reasonable belief that the cache has been muggled. There shouldn't have to be a rule about timely logging of caches, because it's the courteous thing to do. I log all DNF's. Sometimes I don't log finds for a couple of days though. Is a day or two timely enough or do I need to buy an i-phone so I can log the FTF while im at the cache site??? In my area (Grand Rapids, MI) a cache is starting to get old if its been published for an hour with no name in the log book yet. And yes some of the people who regularly go for FTF's around here dont log their finds immeadiatly. Besides, is the only reason to find a cache to be FTF??? I think that if a cache is worth finding at all, it shouldn't matter if your STF or 17th to find. P.S. STF is the first looser
  13. It's a shame that some people can't figure this out and have to have rules to tell them what's right and what's wrong. Still not sure why some think this is funny or that they think it would help keep a ftf race going. I would bet you that people would wise up pretty quickly if this started in their area! It does happen in my area. No complaints from anyone here. Just the OP.
  14. There are no rules depicting when you have to log your find on line or that you have to at all.
  15. Ive done that a bunch of times and will do it again. I think its kinda funny and it does keep the ftf hunt alive.
  16. i got a 128 with mine two weeks ago. Must be the norm. I thought the same thing when i opened mine up.
  17. See, now, you actually put the ring in the cache and walked away from it. I can't imagine how you managed that one. Was that real gold and diamond? 'Cause I don't think I could leave real gold and diamond, bought with my own money, on the ground with the hope that it would still be there when I got back. Congratulations, by the way. It was the real deal allright. I was a bit nervous leaving it out there but i figured i had some experience hiding caches that were kinda tough to find so i took the chance. The chance was worth it when i saw the look on her face.
  18. September 21 by SlackerCachers (11 found) TNLN, TFTC. A bit tough to find until we widened the search a bit. It was clear that coordinates are a bit off, as a fair amount of delicate growth had been trampled by previous visitors in an effort to find this cache. Not a lot of stuff left in the box other than junk and the travel bug racing to Maui... we thought bringing that back to PA may be a bit counterproductive so we left it in the cache. SC Pay them no mind. They have 11 finds.
