Full Logbooks?

Very simple question, what do you do with full logbooks?

 

Have a couple of caches with full logboks which I will replace this week but what do you do with the full ones?

You could scan them and add the images to the cache web page for a historical record.

Keep them sit in front of the fire and read them over (sad option)

Roll some of your best backy in the pages and smoke your way through the efforts of others who have found your cache unhealthy option) or

throw way and not worry (sensible option)

I'd try and send the full logbook back to the cache owner. Some of the logbooks I have seen have peoples caching cards inside and stamps and I would think it would be nice for the cache owner to keep them.

I think the question was asked from the point of view of the cache owner.

 

Like, I suspect, most cache owners, I find cache maintenance to be a chore, albeit a necessary one. But at least having to place a new log book because so many people have visited your cache, is a "good" reason for a maintenance visit!

 

When I place a new log book, I leave the old one. I know cachers who won't leave a cache until they have read every single log in the book, even if it's chucking it down with rain. "Oooh, they were here, and him, and them, and...". Strange, since most people also log online, but there you are. Maybe they're checking that people who logged it online really did sign the log.

If the cache container is big enough I leave the old logbook there as well. Otherwise I just put them into the bottom of a drawer.

Chuck 'em in the round filing cabinet in the corner of the room (the bin). You have enough junk cluttering up this room without leaving bits of scrawled on paper lying about the place, and while you're at it, the car needs washing, that shelf in the pantry you promised to mend in 1984 is still wonky and don't expect ME to hoover the cat, it's your animal.....

As a very new addict who has yet to plant any caches of our own (but have plans to do so soon - also have plans to find loads more caches in the weeks to come!).. I think that I will keep the old log books..

 

For ever!

People will put ANYTHING on the bay! Whether folk pay money for it is another matter

And....people will BUY anything on Ebay.Some have been known to buy plastic containers even.

We keep them just next to the scrap book, cache logs book and sig item collection.

The loss of the log book when a cache is muggled is the most annoying part for us.

We scan them in and put them on the cache page concerned in case anyone else wants to browse the logbooks virtually

keep it i have just been looking at one and its great reading throough the entrys and what as been written really enjoyed it
