San Diego County Cache Critters

This one almost doesn't count as a Cache Critter since we saw it while we were waiting for the first passenger train pulled by a steam locomotive to arrive in San Diego in 55 years. This osprey was flying over the slough by Torrey Pines State Beach. After we saw the train, we went off to find GC1AZRE COCO PUFF BUSH (hence the classification as a Cache Critter...)

While visiting the beautiful Botanical Gardens in Panang, Malaysia, Pink Lloyd and I we saw this monkey and a bunch of others running around the park.

This huge lizard ran right across the trail in front of us after a DNF on this cache. It was about a meter in length. We actually saw a much bigger one but were too astonished to get the camera out in time before it disappeared...

P.S. My co-worker and friend really thought geocaching "Is sooo cool!" and is going to sign up and join the rest of us geogeeks thanks to this trip. Here she is standing in the lush and beautiful gardens like a true geocacher with a GPS in hand! :D

This is my first attempt at posting a critter. This lil' guy was seen just off the beach at TPSP. I took a few cachers with me on my first couple of Earth Cache attempts ... had a great time, too. Even made it down to Full Moon Rising  . Here is our group photo and another critter pic we saw on the beach on May 31, 2008.

Chris of Team Duckit got these pics from an SDG&E Planner near a Rancho Santa Fe subdivision. Now them's some snakes!! Don't see any Roosters nearby, though... :):)

That's so scary as RSF is not that far from me!

The worst part is that the cache is hidden in the hole.... ;)

Then all the pictures of the Snakes followed.

If you want to see some friendlier critters,

:) Oh my goshness! All this time, I thought Ginger was the name of your wife :) so the YouTube REALLY came as a shock to me!

Now I feel so silly :D

Uh, if those are geo-dogs ... may I discover 'em? LOL

Someone doesn't take a peek at the profiles; or, did you think my wife likes golden retrievers? :D:D

My wife is Mrs. Chuy! Duh! :D

Ginger! has a tag, 462780. Mocha! doesn't yet.

If you want to see some friendlier critters,
So when Ginger gets tired, what, she just takes one paw and pins Mocha to the ground? :D

She tries, but Mocha! always gets out of it.

I've been back from my trip for a few days, and have been meaning to post some of my critter pics ... I got quite a few. This might be one of my favorite shots. It was taken near Port Mendo (GC15T77) while tide pooling with my sister, rxdoc. This lil' critter is a Hermissenda crassicornis, also known as a nudibranch. It would have fit on the fingernail of my lil' finger. rxdoc took the picture above the water with a regular camera ... I thot it turned out GREAT.

Very nice photo! I never knew that a nudibranch was a sea slug....
