Don't know what route you're taking, but if your travels take you through Lincolnshire or Cambridgeshire then as a member of the Fenland Mountain Rescue Association..... .....I can assure you that TWO large blocks of Kendal Mint Cake is going a bit 'over the top' Quote Link to comment
+DesG
I have managed to sort out a swop with the East Counties driver and will therefore be able to attend the presentation. I have had to change the drops around so my last one will be nice and handy in Norwich, so hopefully sometime between 2 -3 am I should be getting my head down for a few hours, down to Asda on the ring road for breakfast, a cache or two in the area and then head for Happisburgh. See you tomorrow, drive carefully. Des snerdbe Quote Link to comment

Don,t forget the Lifeboat Station co-ords are N 52° 48.800 E 001° 33.380 The weather forecast is for light showers but I'm sure a drop of rain won't spoil the occasion. +Brenin Tegeingl
Mark & Joan sorry we didn't make it, the car packed at 2:30 this morning, 5 miles from home. It took the mechanic from the warrenty company 5hrs to get to us, and took 5 min to repair . Email sent regarding your teddy. Dave Quote Link to comment
+Learned Gerbil
Sorry you couldn't make it. Sorry also to those who turned up on time and missed the presentation. The RNLI brought it forward due to the worstening weather and tide. The crew seemed very pleased with the money we had raised, and everyone was very friendly. The boat was taken down to the beach for the presentation. The presentation was well supported by cachers. The nearby beach was interesting - plenty of evidence of the power of the sea. It was the first time I have see an upsidedown one of these! The only problem was encountered at the pub. Cachers panic when the realise it will not open for 40 minutes! Is there time to get to another cache and back? All pictures free free to use for promoting RNLI or Geocaching organisations. Larger and further prints available on request. +Cave Troll and Eeyore
Wow Learned Gerbil, You have got your piccies up quick, I have only just uploaded mine to the pc. Please could you send me a copy of each one, as I am making a scrapbook about the fundraising and the presentation, for future use at events. The same goes for anyone else who got any good piccies at the event and presentation. Pleeeese. It was great to meet up with you all today, Though the presentation was a little earlier than we had all planned. The majority of us though a little windswept managed to get into the piccies. I will be doing an article for Geocachingtoday.com about the Presentation and Event including the piccies I got. Thank You all for all your support and help in raising the £700.00 cheque that we presented today. I will say it just once more You are all Stars. Joan Quote Link to comment
+Cave Troll and Eeyore
I have written up a full article on the fundraiser, Presentation and Event. +Alibags
I have just read your happisburg report. I think the fanged animal you saw was probably a Chinese water deer. Seethis link. The front legs significantly shorted than the back legs is a distinctive feature. Quote Link to comment

+John Stead
Rather late to be saying thank you to Mark and Joan and all who took part in the best event cache I've been to yet (and there have been a few), but my electronics have been playing up as well as my rheumatics! That was a brilliant article but thank for not knocking me up at 6 am - I wonder if you would have if you had known I had two spare beds in my "signal box". As you know I stayed on at the Hill House and can tell you that I was told several times how grateful the lifeboatmen and the villagers are for our efforts. I wonder if you know the the village also own and run the lighthouse! Quote Link to comment
+Cave Troll and Eeyore
We have received a thank you email off Bronson Fargo on behalf of the Happisburgh RNLI Crew. Inukshuk has kindly allowed us to have it published on the Geocaching Today website. Quote Link to comment
