+Milbank Posted June 3, 2004 Posted June 3, 2004 Just kidding..... but I was wondering, who approves the caches in my area? Is it someone local? Quote
+briansnat Posted June 3, 2004 Posted June 3, 2004 (edited) I think its CO Admin for ND, but I could be wrong. Edited June 3, 2004 by briansnat Quote
uperdooper Posted June 3, 2004 Posted June 3, 2004 5 minutes and no approval yet? you should raise holy heck that it's taking so long. how dare the approvers make us wait. Quote
+Doc-Dean Posted June 3, 2004 Posted June 3, 2004 (edited) Well?? Its been a whole 6 minutes now? It should have been approved and the FTF should already have logged it!! You must have done something wrong!! Edited June 3, 2004 by Doc-Dean Quote
+macatac1961 Posted June 3, 2004 Posted June 3, 2004 I see it's been approved already... look on the bottom of the page and it says the approvers name. Congrats... fast too, hidden and approved in the same day. Gotta love that. Quote
2oldfarts (the rockhounders) Posted June 3, 2004 Posted June 3, 2004 If they like you...a couple of hours...if not, it could be as long as two weeks! Just kidding, it really depends on how busy the approver is. Backlog has a lot to do with how long it might take or if you put a note on the page for the approver, this speeds things up a lot. Just be patient, then when it is approved you have to be patient some more until people figure out it is there. It sure is fun reading all the logs of the people who do find our caches, I have come to the conclusion that it is more fun to hide a cache than to go find one. Especially since we have to travel so far (150 miles one way) to find any. Have fun! Quote
+Milbank Posted June 3, 2004 Author Posted June 3, 2004 Wow! it's been approved! That is fast. Place my first cache Quote

+macatac1961 Posted June 3, 2004 Posted June 3, 2004 That happened to me last night... submitted one around 6 PM, and about an hour later it was approved. Quote

+macatac1961 Posted June 3, 2004 Posted June 3, 2004 Here in NY they have that DEC issue complicating things... I'm not sure but I think they need to clear it with Senator Hillary first. Quote
+Team GPSaxophone Posted June 3, 2004 Posted June 3, 2004 My last 2 caches were approved 2 days before I placed them, but only because I promised CO Admin I'd keep Upinyachit in Raton all weekend Quote
+CO Admin Posted June 3, 2004 Posted June 3, 2004 I've got one better (and thanks by the way). I had a cache that took 2 days to get approved and Im the one that approved it. Quote

+LukeH Posted June 3, 2004 Posted June 3, 2004 I had one take ~3 weeks. Don't worry if it takes long. Sometimes that happens. Quote
+mtn-man Posted June 3, 2004 Posted June 3, 2004 but I was wondering, who approves the caches in my area? Is it someone local? It actually was me until recently. We now have someone in the area that is more familiar. Glad to see they did a great job. Quote
+Milbank Posted June 3, 2004 Author Posted June 3, 2004 (edited) We now have someone in the area As in my part of the state or in my state? Anyway to find out who it is? Glad to see they did a great job Me too, from what I had been reading I thought it would atleast take a day if not two or three. Makes me want to go out and place some more Edited June 3, 2004 by Milbank Quote
+RuffRidr Posted June 3, 2004 Posted June 3, 2004 We now have someone in the area Anyway to find out who it is? It should say who it was at the bottom of the page. BTW, as a native South Dakotan, its nice to see more caches in my home state. Gives me something to do when I get back up that way to visit the parents. --RuffRidr Quote
+Markwell Posted June 3, 2004 Posted June 3, 2004 Once the cache is approved, as the cache owner, you should see who approved it (with a link) on the bottom of the page. I haven't submitted one in a while, but don't you also get an e-mail saying it was approved (and does it say by whom)? Quote

What part of the state do your parents live in? I haven't submitted one in a while, but don't you also get an e-mail saying it was approved (and does it say by whom)? I really do need to work on my reading. Quote
