Throw out the nines, since they're in the denominator on both sides. Add eight to both sides to get 2R^3=128 Divide by 2 to get R^3=64 Take the cube root of both sides to get R=4. I wasn’t sure because of the way it was written in the question. To me at first it looked like 2R was to be squared not just R. This is why I have both of my interpretations of the problem. I realize it would have made more sense in a textbook. Quote
