fireman121 Posted January 18, 2004 Posted January 18, 2004 Hi I am new to Geocaching, and Ive seen people post there type of container as POG. Can some one tell me what that means. Thanks, Fireman121 Quote
DustyJacket Posted January 18, 2004 Posted January 18, 2004 Maybe "Painted Olive Green" ?????? Quote
KiltCacher Posted January 18, 2004 Posted January 18, 2004 Sorry to take all the fun out of guessing at this supposed acronym, but I think what your asking about is from a recent fad game called "pogs" or more commonly known as "milkcaps". The containers were designed to hold little paper and plastic discs. ...If not, then my guess is Pineapple, Orange, Guava; or Pot of Gold??? Quote
Krandor Posted January 18, 2004 Posted January 18, 2004 i agree with the earlier poster. Pog is a game played with little cardboard circles. If a cache desription listed it as a pog container, I would assume that it is a theme cache for pogs and you are only supposed to trade pogs. Can you post a link to the cache where you saw pog referenced? Quote
DustyJacket Posted January 18, 2004 Posted January 18, 2004 My daughter has a POG tube. It is about 2" in diameter and 3" - 4" long, plastic, with a hinged snap-on lid. They come in many colors. Quote
Krandor Posted January 18, 2004 Posted January 18, 2004 Ah, so a Pog ontainer could be one of those tubes used as a micro? Quote
Renegade Knight Posted January 18, 2004 Posted January 18, 2004 Ah, so a Pog ontainer could be one of those tubes used as a micro? Yes it could and that would be my Guess. I was thinking POG but not POG container... My kids were too young for that fad when it came and went. Quote
Prime Suspect Posted January 18, 2004 Posted January 18, 2004 "It's ALF - in POG form." - Milhouse Van Houten Quote
