+Jamie Z
Bret, While I admire your geocaching-themed lamp, I find that making your own lamp and especially decorating the shade yourself is contrary to the interests of a place called the Man-Room. Jamie Quote Link to comment
+Red Dragon
It's one of those really "cute" and "adorable" things that guys do, and as long as they stay in the "man room" they are OK. Quote Link to comment

I made the stencils for my cache boxes about a year ago. I used some flimsy plastic (I think one of them is out of the side of a milk jug) and an exacto knife. That way I don't have to make new stencils every time I want to decorate an ammo can. quote:Originally posted by Jamie Z:Bret, While I admire your geocaching-themed lamp, I find that making your own lamp and especially decorating the shade yourself is contrary to the interests of a place called the Man-Room. Well, maybe so, but I think I get points for using power-tools, doing wiring, and staining in an enclosed part of my basement (ventilation is for wuss-cakes!). umc
Very cool but I'm affraid that you are very sick. My wife has a hard enough time with my empty ammo cans in the basement, I couldn't imagine her letting me make a lamp out of one and bring it upstairs. Well then again, I don't have a "man-room", here we call it the basement and garage. __________________________ Caching without a clue.... Quote Link to comment
+BlueDeuce
oh great, that's like meat in front of a dog. Visiting geocachers are going to get extrememly frustrated looking for the log book to sign. Quote Link to comment
mckee
That's the perfect lamp for hiding condoms in, maybe even a religious tract or two.... -------------------- This space for rent! Ask about our easy layaway plan! Quote Link to comment
+TotemLake
So does it eventually degrade from a 100 watt to a 15 watt before requiring cache maintenance? Btw, very cool. Cheers! TL Quote Link to comment

martmann
Cool, would be an easy find for a night cache hunt. +wimseyguy
I think you should follow the lead of El Diablo: A Geo-lamp will be prepared and shipped to the owners three best home improvement projects not yet completed because you are too busy going out caching in all your free time. Um Lep and Carleenp and any other geo-legals out there, you may want to get those boilerplate divorce papers copied off. Took keychain flashlight. Left a book of matches. Took lamp, left a pile of ashes where I built a fire using the log book and the book of matches that were left in the cache. +wimseyguy
Webfoot that reminds me of: Q. How many Microsoft engineers does it take to change a lightbulb? A.
