team travel pig
so. i arrive at the location, and the clues tell me to look up, so i hop into three different low trees within a meter (sorry - can't think in miles and feet) of the spot, and nothing... then i see some paper and a smiley sticker on the ground under the tree. whaddaya know, it's the log and the last thing left in the micro cache. coins are gone, as is everything else. so i've rescued the log and will send it to the cache owner - whom i happen to know. so. can i log this as found? ps (i walked almost 7km in the boiling south texas sun to get there and home again... thank heavens for my camelbak.) ___________________________________ there is no knowledge, only things, which is really old knowledge. +TEAM 360
I would count it as a find. You were able to sign the log. That counts, even if the cache were gone, as it appears. Extenuating circumstances considered. Quote Link to comment
team travel pig
thanks... i was tending towards that, but wanted to check. it does (this cache) have a little bit of a history of being vandalized... cache... ___________________________________ there is no knowledge, only things, which is really old knowledge. +shawhh
if you signed the logbook it is a find. Quote Link to comment
Renegade Knight
Even the purists should call this one a find. You found the log, you are good to go. ===================== Wherever you go there you are. Quote Link to comment
Jamie Z
I lean toward find.. and I'm one of the purists Renegade Knight mentions. I wanted to add though, that because you walked 7kn has no bearing on a find or not. Jamie Quote Link to comment
team travel pig
i know the walk has no bearing - just adding color. thanks all ___________________________________ there is no knowledge, only things, which is really old knowledge. Quote Link to comment
smithdw
If I can write my name in the log book, I call it a find. Quote Link to comment
ArktiS
How far you travelled and walked is irrelevant - in my opinion. The core-question is: Did you sign the logbook og not? If 'yes' I believe you can claim a 'Found it!'. Virtual Regards from ArktiS Quote Link to comment

catcher24
You not only found the log, you SAVED the log. Certainly a find. Captain Chaoss
I dont see what bearing the log being signed has on it. You found the site, not your fault someone looted it. heck yea its a find. Two roads diverged in the woods and I, I took the one less traveled, and that is how I found the cache. Quote Link to comment
Marky
I don't think you can log it as a find if you are in Texas and using the metric system. That seems almost unpatriotic. --Marky "All of us get lost in the darkness, dreamers learn to steer with a backlit GPSr" Quote Link to comment
Last Lap Gang
Signed log equals found cache since it is not a logless (code word) cache. Wags, Russ & Erin Quote Link to comment
