Collecting themes?

Do you collect in any spesific themes?

I see my son go for the egyptian and cat coins. I myself have gone for the hearts and turtles lately.

And my boyfriend seems to want sculls and british coins

I collect anything with a Dutch theme.

Wolves, Pagan/Celtic, Egyptian, moving parts, shaped, etc. And just about anything else I like the look of, or have some kind of meaning to me. Of course, I've only bought like one coin in six months, not counting a few I had reserved prior to that. And that one coin was a Wolf coin I just had to get. Those are very important to me. I can't pass them up. lol

Round coins, with round personals being first choice

very eclectic collection but primarily coins with Science Fiction/Fantasy bent are my favorite.

I have a butterfly collection, holiday themed coins, sealife, flowers and personals.

What I like today isn't always what I will like tomorrow so my tastes vary. I am usually drawn to animal coins (imagine that) and stuff with lots of color and gems

I love Halloween, so any coin like that, but I also like coins with Irish knots or really cool scroll work. I am really drawn to the aged silver or nickle coins with scroll/knot work

I collect mainly animalshaped coins and food/drinkshaped coins but sometimes I can´t help myself. There are quite a bunch of others in my collection now also.

The themes I like to collect are;

- geocaching related coins

- glow in the dark

- animals

- Dutch (team) coins

- special shapes

- special detailed designs (something like Celtic knot or with nice symbols)

and just anything else that really looks nice to me

Coins with good, solid designs. Some are better than others, but as long as a little obvious thought went into it, I'm in for one!

I find it hard to pass up a coin with a lighthouse on it.
