Tydog07
I want to buy a few nano cache containers like this one: http://www.cacherstoybox.ca/Nano-Cache_p_9.html But I don't want to spend $3.45 for one small piece of metal, I've found another store to buy them from and they used to only cost $1.50 but they just upped the price to $2.99. http://www.cacheboxstore.com/microcache/Na...cacheindex.html Does anyone know where I can find this cache container for $2.00 or less? +wimseyguy
Just keep in mind that cheap containers are cheap for a reason. Be prepared to do more maintenance. Quote Link to comment

Cheep containers....? Well, lets see... Altoids Tins, film canisters, pill bottles, etc. Problem is none of them are waterproof and a small ziplock bag only lasts 4-5 finds. Quote Link to comment

r791210m
Well...I know the smallest container I've ever seen, and its VERY cheap...but at a cost. They aren't waterproof. Just the opposite actually. Go to your local dollar store and buy the little sponge animals in a pill capsule. Take them apart, remove sponge animal, insert log, hide. Quote Link to comment

They looked kind of funny to me though because it looks like the O-ring sticks out around the container more than the other ones I've found, is this true? Either way, the cost to my door is $9 for 5 containers, which is only $1.80 per container, what a great deal! Quote Link to comment

+ras_oscar
most any container CAN work if its in the proper environment. I once found a micro that was a peice of paper in one of those strip mint containers. The lis had been torn off but the log was perfectly dry after more than a year in the wild, simply because the hider had considered the environment and placed it in a protected spot. It does seem like it makes things easier to open and the word O-ring makes for plenty of jokes. yaaay. :-) Quote Link to comment

I have seen them used as geocaches once or twice. About the same size as the magnetic nano...but no magnet. Quote Link to comment

+swizzle
You can always buy a wally world nano. They're not magnetic though. Look in the toothcleaning area. They have some cavity filler that comes in a really tiny container. I think its around $2.50. Just stop to the post office on the way home for a quick tyvek scroll log and your good to go. +StarBrand
Be sure to enclose your 'nano' inside of a sturdy container for safety. May I suggest one of these: Quote Link to comment

+WoodlandAlliance
The cheapest small container I know of that still works are old pill bottles. Anything smaller is specialty made and more expensive. But why not just hide a larger container? Those are more fun anyway. Quote Link to comment

knowschad
Nanos are wayyyy too cheap. For that sort of technology, I think they should go for somewhere between $20 and $100 apiece. Anyone else agree? Quote Link to comment
