+George1 Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 I cannot find any way to solve this but I know there has to be much smarter people out there than me. Could anyone solve this hieroglyphic problem. Since I am not great at puzzles I have been known to resort to any means to solve them. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Quote
+KoosKoos Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 Have you resorted to contacting the cache owner for a hint? Quote
+9Key Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 Have you resorted to contacting the cache owner for a hint? Ditto. The protocol would be to ask the cache owner first. The forums are not the proper place to ask for hints. Quote
+WebChimp Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 42 I wouldn't have said that myself, but i did get a chuckle out of seeing it in print once more. Quote
jholly Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 I think Sherlock Holmes has already solved this one. Quote
+Crid Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 Yes, that wasn't particularly taxing. I worked out the coords in seconds, fed them in to GC.com and found the cache ID (since it's going to be in the same vicinity). It was only published 3 days ago. Quote
+rjb43nh Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 Actually reading MAD magazine helped me solve this puzzle quickly. Good puzzle. Quote
+George1 Posted July 30, 2008 Author Posted July 30, 2008 42 was the best answer I got I guess there is no help here! Quote
+wapahani Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 I will try and not be a smart a^$ in this. There are SEVERAL SOURCES to find puzzle's online. Here is one http://www.omniglot.com/ Google and Wiki are both great tools also. Posting a puzzle here won't get you anywhere. Puzzles are hard to solve and made that way for a reason. I've got 3 puzzles that I have been working on for 2 weeks now and made little progress. I'm not very good but I plug away. I find that most puzzle owners want them solved and a simple email will get you much farther along. Quote

+NYPaddleCacher Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 Actually reading MAD magazine helped me solve this puzzle quickly. Good puzzle. That was my first guess too after looking at it for a few seconds. I've done another puzzle cache that was similar though so it was easier to recognize this time. Quote
+navywife85 Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 Ok, come on! I'm new to all this- never have done a puzzle cache before, and even I figured this one out in a few minutes. You can do it- you just need to look at it differently!! don't try to make it harder than it is- you know what's there- I know you can do it! Good Luck! Navywife85:) Quote
+Juicepig Posted July 31, 2008 Posted July 31, 2008 its generally considered bad practice to ask others - especially every other geocacher in the world - so solve the puzzle for them. The owner chose to put out a challenge for people, if you can't solve it your self just move on to another cache. Sometimes solutions just come to you if you put them on the back-burner besides, if you look real hard the answer TO GET the solution is here, but not the answer itself.. Quote

Mine may be different. But I have finally solved it. You all can now go to sleep peacefully. Quote
